Choosing the right platform for a judo club's online presence is crucial for its growth and community engagement. While Facebook is a popular and versatile social network, Judo Connect offers specific advantages tailored to the needs and aspirations of judo clubs. Here are three main reasons why Judo Connect is a better choice for a judo club compared to using Facebook as their primary social network:

"Happy New Year to you all! ๐ŸŽ‰ As we enter 2024, let us take a moment to reflect on the teachings of Judo, not just as a martial art but as a way of life. This year, let's strive to be the best versions of ourselves, improving not only in skill and knowledge but in character and understanding. ๐ŸŒŸ

Remember, 'Jita-Kyoei' - mutual welfare and benefit. As we seek our own betterment, let's also uplift those around us, sharing in successes and supporting through challenges. Let's cultivate a healthy body and mind, embracing each day with the vigor and enthusiasm of a judoka ready for the mat. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿค

Over the last 6 weeks the team have lifted their game, they have turned up 3 days a week in the dojo, put the work in off the mats with conditioning.

Itโ€™s been repetitive, weโ€™ve worked on game plans, grip strategies, application of technique and contest management.

Itโ€™s been tough. But iron sharpens iron.

Today at the Shinsei event that hard work came to fruition.

Paul also got 30 points towards his black belt!

Elsie fought for our juniors and was incredibly brave against an opponent who was more experienced, unfortunately she withdrew with a sore knee after a very brave

SHINBUDO GOES ON-LINE

As of today we are entering our own Stage 2 of the Covid-19 emergency and starting to deliver on-line classes to members. The first class is also accessible to 'friends' and former members, but insurance will be needed after that.

Today we are teaching some basic wrestling callisthenics. Their primary goal is ABC (agility, balance, coordination) and developing the 7 fundamental wrestling skills (stance; motion; level change; penetration; lifting; turning; back arch).

The secondary goal is to prepare us to a

Our Year 3/4 football team have entered a mini-league with 7 matches taking place over the next 5 weeks. This is a great opportunity to play some different schools and yesterday afternoon saw the opening 2 fixtures.

In the first match against South Petherwin Primary School we came from a goal behind at half-time to earn a well-deserved 2-1 win. Next up was Lifton Community Academy and another very impressive Team Hillfort performance produced a 6-0 victory. What a great start!! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Well done to the children in all of the teams. ๐Ÿ‘โšฝ๏ธ #teamhillfort

Well good morning everyone who is still here๐Ÿ˜Š.
We are now seeing some real light at the end of this very long dark tunnel.
So here's hopefully some really good news for everyone.....
As Boris has said if the numbers of infections and deaths etc go to plan we hopefully will see a lifting of all restrictions on the 21st of June.
We are hoping, fingers crossed that the Marham club will open on Thursday the 24th of June.
Other clubs probably won't start until September but Marham will get up and running.
We expect to be quiet on return with many members lost but we will re-build! So please help sp

Happy New Year, unfortunately due to the Dept of Education guidelines on school interaction for sports currently suspended we will remain closed. We have been in contact with them today and they have indicated that the guidelines may be changed within the coming weeks , once this restriction is lifted we will resume training with the existing Covid rules of all players and coaches testing before training. Thank you for your patience.
