Choosing the right platform for a judo club's online presence is crucial for its growth and community engagement. While Facebook is a popular and versatile social network, Judo Connect offers specific advantages tailored to the needs and aspirations of judo clubs. Here are three main reasons why Judo Connect is a better choice for a judo club compared to using Facebook as their primary social network:

Truly proud of all our competitors today!! All put in tremendous performances to say the least πŸ™

Very well run, organised comp which was superbly judged throughout ☺️

Some big wins including Joe's consistency, Joey's standard quick ippon scores. Henry's massive pick up throw!

Any loses came from much higher grades. But the performance from all was remarkable!

Great day for the team πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ”₯

Very busy weekend for Aberdeen and Turriff Judo clubs.

Aga, Luke and Ailsa fought at the Scottish Closed championships on saturday. Every one fought well but just fell the wrong side of victory. Ailsa did great fighting up a weight to win silver. Small margins...we can turn these results around!!

On Sunday Eriks, Ian and Olivier fought in the National Dan grading in Motherwell. All three were undefeated, each winning 5 fights by ippon!!

Olivier having already completed his theory will now be promoted to black belt (very proud coach).

Eriks and Ian smashed it on their first grading and no

3ks Sam Roberts bringing back the Silver from Samurai Judo Club Kyu Grades. Sam showed great skill by winning by ippon in 3 ways, by a throw, hold-down and strangle. Also great sportsmanship was shown and modestly, we call this the "spirit of judo"! Well done Sam Roberts, sascrob!

A brilliant day at Warwick University today, which saw Rob Fry and Tom Joy go for it in the Novice Men's Category earning Gold and Silver respectively, and then Jasmine Ebbrell and Lauren Curtis fighting in the Intermediate Women's event ending with Gold and Bronze respectively. Great courage and even better Judo shown by all. Wins by Throws, Holds, Armlocks AND Chokes! Throw of the day to Jas with a Kata-Hiza Tai-Otoshi in her final fight for a crisp and clean Ippon! And not to forget our Coach Stewart McIntyre who Refereed at today's event! All angles covered!

In the grand dojo of life, we at Cherry Judo Club have not merely stepped onto the mat; we've leapt, thrown, and grappled our way through the year with the vigor of judokas eyeing the ultimate ippon πŸ₯‹. This year, we've more than doubled in size, a testament to the sweat πŸ’¦, tears 😒, and perhaps a few unmentionable aches that only true judo enthusiasts would understa

Well done to our competitors today in South Shields and Wales!

Zac had a best of 3 with a tough competitor from another group as there was nobody in his specific category. He gave a good account of himself and although didn’t win gained plenty of experience and a Gold in his own category in the Northern Area Regional Schools.

Charlie had 3 fights in the Northen Area Regional Schools and won all of his fights with ippons meaning he won the Gold in this event! He then also stepped into the Northern Area Development Event and had a further 3 contests, losing his first but again coming back wit

Fantastic day for our 3 competitors at the BJA Development competition today!

First up we had Zac, who won 2 out of 3 fights against tough opponents, which secured a Gold trophy!

Jay had a best of 3 in the under 16’s category where he won all 3 with ippons to take the Gold. He then stepped up to enter his first Senior event, winning all 4 fights in this category to take another Gold!

Finally, at the very end of the day we had Lewis entered in the senior section. Lewis won 3 fights, and narrowly missed out on the gold in his final fight where he came away with the Siler medal!

Thank you

Today at our own tournament we had 1 of our Snr boys compete for the very first time, Moses is a novice belt but competed in the graded category had a best out of 3 fights with an orange belt competitor…. Did an amazing job to get a wazari than ippon by hold down in first fight.
Second fight he gave his opponent a run for his money and again won by ippon with very good ground work to over ride a hold down on him to him holding down his opponent winning the second fight and gaining the Gold medal. Well done Moses, u did urself and the club proud πŸ™‚πŸ™‚

So results today - many players fought in several groups - golds to Eppy, Fallon, Maia, Ethan, Niamh, Jack, Charlie, silvers to Fallon and Ollie, bronze to Albert - 5th places to Robert and Richard, unfortunately Pullo had to withdraw due to injury, and Aaron through illness. Fallon fought a young girl several weight groups up and was amazing! Eppy her normal ippon self! Ethan fought in several groups winning all with beautiful ippon judo. Maia at just 12 fought in the under 16s AND up a weight group where she won all her contests with ippon - just brilliant resilience from her! Albert was inc

Congratulations to our players at Thetford today. In the Regional Schools qualifiers technically Eppy, Maia and Eppy all took gold, and Pullo was very unlucky to lose the bronze medal contest - meaning a 5th place in a large group. Eppy fought two players in the next Wright group and showed her grit and technical ability, Maia also fought up a weight group against an older higher graded player, she lost two but brilliantly won the last one! Ethan fought in a number of groups and won every single contest with Ippon! All four players will now go on to the British Schools Championships in Sheffie

Incredibly pleased with these two today.
Both representing the club in different ways and both doing extremely well at the British Judo Northern Area Regional Schools Championships & Northern Area Open Championships.
Congratulations to Alex on his bronze medal. More impressive than winning a bronze was the way he conducted himself both on and off the tatami. Throwing 3 times with superb Ippon scores.
Congratulations to Faith on completing her Time Keepers training. Without officials events like today wouldn’t happen. Not everyone had the desire to compete some have skills in other aspects o

Abigail & Edd both fought at the NHC Schools Championships in Brentwood today.
It was Abigail's first time fighting in her new weight category. No medal today but some strong contests and plenty of experience gained. She will now focus on training for her next event in January.
It was Edd's first time fighting at this level and with his current Rugby scholarship commitments he has not been able to put in as much Judo training as we would like. However, this boy was on fire today & came away with a fantastic silver medal πŸ₯ˆ.
Edd won four out of five contests by ippon throws and also beat the gol
