Great work today by Bradley & Maddison competing at the Dragons Academy Orange & Under Championships in Cardiff. They both displayed some excellent Judo wining all of their contests by Ippon to win the Gold!

A great effort by Wayne today at the Samurai Low Kyu Grades. This was only Wayne’s second ever competition and he produced two good wins by Ippon to win a well deserved Bronze Medal.

Excellent effort today by Michal & Bry at the British Masters Championship. Both Michal & Bry won three of their contests, a silver for Michal and hard earned Bronze for Bry. A great effort by both.

Double Gold at High Wycombe! 3 wins by Ippon for Bradley & 4 Wins by Ippon for Maddison. They both produced some excellent Judo with a variety of different techniques, a great way to end the year.

The Dowty Judo Club are shocked and saddened to hear about the sudden passing of one of our own, Noddy Lockey. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Noddy’s family & friends. A Just Giving page has been set up to support Noddy’s little boy Barney growing up with out his dad. Please support if you can.

Wishing the best of luck to our three junior players who are heading up to Sheffield this weekend to compete at the British Judo Schools Championships. Over the last few weeks Cody, Bradley & Maddison have been putting the hours in on the training mat and also in competition. Between them, they have competed at the midland area open, the High Wycombe Green & Under, the English Open & the Samurai Green & Under winning a combined three gold medals, one silver medal & two Bronze medals. We also have Callum competing for the first time at the schools since 2020 where he finished on top of the podi

A huge well done to Callum & Maddison on their performances this weekend up at the British School Championships. Maddison was competing for the first time at this level and put in a excellent performance winning three of her four contest to earn a bronze medal. Callum was competing at the School’s for the first time in four years, and won all four of his contests to become British Schools Champion for a second time. Cody & Bradley also competed over the weekend. Although they didn’t get a medal this time, they both fought really well and gained more valuable experience.
