Due to the football on Wednesday we have decided to run the junior session from 6:30 until 7:30. This will allow parents the time to get home for kick off so hopefully not effect the turnout. The senior session will run as normal starting at 7:45.

After the recent National Teams Championships, we want to continue gaining momentum of the event's success and establish a more organised structure to provide young judoka with valuable experiences. This will help in nurturing the next generation of Area Squad representatives.

A great effort today by Bradley, Cody & Maddison competing at the Western Area Open. They all displayed some excellent judo wining several contest with big Ippons. A big well done from everyone at the club.

Reminder its time to start focusing on pulling together again.
Getting our Younger Judoka together bonding and training together more regularly.
This event does now clash with the Heart Of England tournament but we are still committed to running this important aspect of supporting our younger generation experience a good positive Randori Day.

This weekend we headed up to Walsall for two of the biggest events on the calendar. On Saturday we had Callum, Cody, Bradley & Maddison representing the Western Area in the National Team Championships. Unfortunately no medals for the West but a great effort by all.
Then on Sunday was the time for the Masters. It was a great day for the club with Michal becoming British Masters Champion for the first time with some excellent Judo. Chris wining a strong Silver and Bry earning another hard fought Bronze.

We are in the process of finalising the squads for the 2024 National Teams Championships, which will be held on Saturday, July 6th at Walsall.

A great effort by Wayne today at the Samurai Low Kyu Grades. This was only Wayne’s second ever competition and he produced two good wins by Ippon to win a well deserved Bronze Medal.

Excellent effort today by Michal & Bry at the British Masters Championship. Both Michal & Bry won three of their contests, a silver for Michal and hard earned Bronze for Bry. A great effort by both.
