Congratulations to Ioan on winning a 🥉 at the Commonwealth Judo Championships 2024 in 🇲🇹. 👏🏻
Despite struggling with illness and not 100% Ioan managed to get himself onto the Tatami.
Ioan had the same amount of wins as gold and silver medalists but points scored in contests decided their places.
Ioan also launched the gold medalist with one of the throws of the day in Cadets. (Video to follow)
Incredibly small margins between 1st & 3rd.
An awesome achievement! 🏴

Logan on his debut at the champs & his first comp outside of 🏴 performed well, 3 contests & 1 Ippon Win.
Ioan came away with a 5th place finish after a few close contests also.
Well done both, representing your club & schools with pride.👏🏻

SLW is a flagship awareness week for British Sign Language and Irish Sign Language, celebrated every year in March to commemorate the first time BSL was acknowledged as a language in its own right by the UK Government on 18 March 2003.
The week is organised by the British Deaf Association, which has chosen the theme of ‘Promoting BSL and ISL as indigenous languages of the UK’.
The campaign aims to celebrate and educate about BSL and ISL, to encourage more people to start learning it and preserve BSL and ISL for future generations.
