The camp is open to all - non members and siblings are welcome - and it is going to be the best week of summer ! 🥳
With plenty of activities planned in and out of the dojo each day there will be lots of opportunities for our members to learn new skills, make new friends, continue to build confidence and test themselves - all under the guidance of our experienced coaching team !! 🥋

AWESOME NEWS ! Judo isn’t just for boys it’s incredible for girls too !! 🥋
We were really pleased to welcome Isleham Skylarks U13 Girls Football Team into the dojo earlier this year for a fun filled team building Judo class ! It was brilliant to see them all supporting each other while testing their individual skills - learning the first steps in falling safely and gaining physical confidence along the way ! They also had way to much fun in the dojo that afternoon !! 🤣
We will soon be starting a 'Girls Only Judo Class' weekly on Wednesdays from 7pm - 8pm for all girls aged 12 - 18 years ! St

LANTERN SUMMER FAIR 2024 ! ☀️
We are really excited to be part of the summer fair at The Lantern school this year !
We have junior members who attend the school and they will be doing a demonstration of their judo skills! Joined by some of the coaching team and senior squad from our dojo family. 🥋😎
It's going to be a wet day but that has not put off the fantastic team at Friends Of The Lantern who have organised the event and come up with a fantastic 'wet day' plan so all the fun can continue indoors ! 🥳

FLASHBACK to last weekend at The London Open Judo Championship 2024 !
Congratulations to Will, Daisy and Jamie who turned up to test their judo skills against the best from the London area and beyond ! 🥋🥳
Will had one of the biggest groups of the day with 34 judoka joining him in the Minors -34kg group. Will had some super tough contests and did not finish on the podium but smashed his personal target to win his second contest with a skillful counter scoring Ippon ! 🥋😎

MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS !!!! To all our dojo family that headed over to Thetford for the East Anglian ‘Fours’ Judo Championships at Thetford !
We had over 18 Entries across all the groups - 8-12 years, 12-15 years, Seniors 15 years + and Masters 35 years + 🥋🥋🥋🥋
Club President Ray Taylor was also on the mats all day as a senior referee 🥋
Each and every member put in an outstanding performance showing judo courage, skill and determination in all their contests ! There were over 40 judo clubs taking part in the event and over 170 judoka took to the contest mats throughout the day - testing the

A TOUGH DAY of judo contest at the Eastern Area Ranking Open today at Thetford 🥋😎
Daisy and Yonas both entered the Junior and Senior sections and showed some really strong and determined contest judo between them. Yonas was awarded with a bronze medal in the juniors for his efforts and Daisy took the silver in the juniors and a silver in the seniors ! 🥉🥈🥈🥋🥋
It was great to see them step into this level of event where judoka are awarded national ranking points for winning positions in their groups and they both managed well with the skilled and experienced opponents they faced in contest - A

Stuart and Brian attended the seminar hosted by United Judo Club in Kent - where participants switched their judo suits for casual clothing to take part in real terms.
We are super excited to be planning to launch the 'Finding your Feet' classes soon at Ely Dojo !🥳🥋
These classes have been developed by Dr McDonald at Anglia Ruskin University and Dr Callan at the University of Hertfordshire. The purpose is to help our older aged community have better balance,
