Our annual Speech Day took place on Friday 5th July, where children in FIII-FVIII, families, friends, and staff gathered to celebrate the final day of the summer term.
Wonderful speeches were made my Mrs Mitchell, our Head Beachburians, Chair of Governors, and Year Group Coordinators, who announced the winners of many awards and trophies. We celebrated the endless successes of the children, and said final farewells to members of staff and our FVIII children, whose time at Beachborough has sadly come to an end.

Although we are small, let us try for great things.........And that, is exactly what we have done!
At Beachborough, charity is an integral part of school life and we are proud to support a variety of local, national and international charities each year. We believe that it is essential that our pupils grow up understanding how important it is to support others and to reach out to others in need.
This year we have raised the staggering amount of £30,100.00 for Mary's Meals UK, Brain Tumour Research, Dogs for Good - UK, Place2Be - Children's Mental Health Week and

In order to continue raising money for one of our chosen charities, Dogs for Good - UK, we have asked our Beachburians to take part in a summer read-a-thon! 📚

On Saturday 29th June, our wonderful parent community, Beachborough Friends, held the bi-annual Summer Ball at the charming venue of Blackpit Brewery. The theme this year was 'a midsummer night's dream', and over 150 guests, made up of current Beachborough parents and staff, put their glad rags on and came together for the highly awaited event.
Following a drinks reception and canapes on the lawn, the guests sat down for a delicious dinner, courtesy of award winning caterers, Lemon Zest Cuisine Ltd. But the night was just beginning, and a silent auction swiftly followed, where attendees had t

The Boardman Building is home to our children in Nursery to Form IV, and with vibrant, inviting classrooms, this is the perfect environment for our Beachburians to spend some of their first school years.
At Beachborough Prep, we welcome children into Nursery from 2.5 years old, and their space is shared with our Kindergarten children, who are often found playing together both inside and outside of the classroom. Our youngest learners spend considerable time outdoors in their own little garden, which includes a living willow den, raised beds for growing vegetables, and a plethora of toys and

Following an exciting year in Pre-Prep 1, our children move on to Pre-Prep 2!
In PP2, the children immerse themselves in a stimulating curriculum that is linked to English, Maths, Science, History, Geography and Art, amongst other subjects. The topic of the Great Fire of London is a particular highlight, where they are transported back in time to 1666 with 'History Off the Page', for a jam-packed workshop. Fun continues around the campfire in Forest School, where children burn a variety of aprons to find the most suitable material for a bakers’ apron!

Form III is a particularly transitional year for our children, and although they are still based in the Boardman Building, they also become part of the Prep School. This means they attend Prep School assemblies and activities, and start moving around the school independently to specialist rooms for some of their lessons, slowly preparing them for Form V.

In late July, we had the pleasure of welcoming Old Beachburian, Mark into school to reminisce over his time at Beachborough Prep between 1967 and 1971 before attending his senior school, Bedford School.
Mark was impressed to see the changes and developments at Beachborough since his time under Headmaster, Eric Sprawson, such as our state-of-the-art TED suite, but was equally delighted to see that many of Beachborough’s unique quirks still remain.
Mark remembered the outdoor (unheated) swimming pool, the plentiful sports pitches, the Whybrow Theatre as the school’s sports hall and the dining

Yesterday evening, the final night of boarding took place for the 2023/24 academic year.
With water-pistols and balloons at the ready, 80 of our children came together on the Front Lawn for the annual Beachborough water fight! Mr Blithe and Mr Gross took charge of the BBQ, and cooked some delicious food for the children to enjoy before the fun commenced.
It was also a special evening to celebrate our beloved Matron, who after 37 years, is retiring and starting a new adventure. Our Senior Boarders presented a gift to her, and the children thanked her for all that she has done for them. The

On Sunday 30th June, our Goblins raced in the Gathering of the Goblins 2024 at Goodwood Motor Circuit.
Competing against 90 other cars, the children participated in slalom, drag, and sprint races and found themselves up against some of the fastest cars yet. However, it came as no surprise that our Goblins did us proud once again, and placed 1st and 2nd in the pitstop challenge!
It was another exciting experience for the team, so a huge well done goes to: Emilie S, Dougy H, Max W, Theodora S, Isabella B, Sophie C, Ayla O, Max G, George J, Zach L-W, Fergus T, Huey W, Arthur P, Leo B, Leo S,

On Friday, our children in FIII-FVIII participated in Sports Day!
The day was jam-packed with an array of exciting activities, which saw our field events taking place in the morning, and all races commencing in the afternoon.
Club spirits were high, as Carder, Boardman, Sprawson, and Chappell went head-to-head in some light-hearted competition. The children supported and encouraged one another, and the camaraderie among the clubs was fantastic to see. The day was a huge success; not only as a whole, but also on an individual level, with several children breaking school records!
