Last night, Kites soared into an exhilarating boxing evening, led by the seasoned boxer and coach, Luke Shears.

With patience and precision, he guided the children through fundamental moves, eliciting laughter and determination as they honed their newfound skills. But, this wasn’t just about punches and combinations; they delved into thrilling team games, igniting laughter and cheers from everyone. On Friday, FIII spent the day at The Living Rainforest.

The children received a guided tour, and learnt how plants and animals have adapted to the living rainforest environment, discovering how adaptation can lead to evolution over time. The tour covered areas such as how the leaves gets rid of excess water; plant adaptations to maximise light and nutrient uptake; and the way various animals are suited to life in the rainforest.

FIII had a fantastic, informative day out, and discovered many interesting facts about the rainforest and its inhabitants. They even concluded their day with a trip

This morning, spirits were high as Club General Knowledge took place in the Whybrow Theatre!

A group of children from FIII-FVIII, represented their respective clubs and answered a variety of general knowledge questions, which centered around subjects such as History, Music, and Geography.

The children worked together brilliantly, whilst the rest of their club cheered them on and celebrated alongside them. The final scores were extremely close, however, Carder won by just 1 point!

Well done to everybody who took part; Club competitions always prove to be a highlight of each term.

Yesterday, our PP1 class began the week with a trip to the British Motor Museum, which is home to the world's largest collection of historic British cars!

Our children received an interactive museum walk, with a wonderful tour-guide, and were taken on a journey through time. PP1 experienced what it was like to own one of the first cars, and even got to dress up as they went along the 'time road'. They explored the extensive collection of 150 historic vehicles, including the 1920s London bus, and learnt how the development of the motor car has changed throughout the last century.

In TED (Technology, Engineering, and Design), a recent project for our FVII children has been to design and create table tennis bats.

Throughout this exciting process, the children printed their handles using a 3D printer, and created their individual, unique designs by using a laser cutter. Not only were FVII tasked with producing their bats, they also had to create packaging to encase them! Many of our children used Canva to do so, and we are so impressed with how professional each product looks.

FVII thoroughly enjoyed this project from start to finish, and it was a fantastic way for th

On Saturday 20th April, the Beachborough Eventer Challenge 2024 took place!

The event was a huge success, with 136 entries from schools across the country. The day consisted of a warm-up class, followed by classes 1-4, and to ensure that each class was slightly more challenging than the last, the jumps were increased by 10cm in height each time. The event was held as a qualifier for the NSEA Eventer Challenge Championships at Hickstead, in May - congratulations to all of those who qualified!

Our Beachbots spent the weekend in Harrogate, competing in the FIRST LEGO League UK National Final!

The day began with three intense robot games, and while the first two didn't quite go to plan, our Beachbots excelled in the third and final game, and showcased their skills brilliantly. Not only were the children faced with a series of games, they also had to tackle the Innovation Project. This entailed presenting their app to the judges and, by all accounts, they were left impressed by their creativity and ingenuity.

James and Megan also experienced a fantastic opportunity to be interviewe

This morning, we were lucky enough to welcome Lydia, Emma, and Joli, the lovely 'goldador' puppy, to Beachborough!

We are launching a new charity initiative, to support Dogs for Good - UK and become a puppy partner. So, this morning, Emma and Lydia delivered an insightful assembly to the children, to explain what makes Dogs for Good so special.

A trained dog supports children and adults, who find everyday life challenging, particularly those suffering with dementia, autism, or a physical disability. Dogs can be trained to open doors, call a lift, pick up shopping, help people get dressed,

During the Easter break, a group of 53 children and 7 members of staff spent a week in the mountains, in Sestriere, Italy.

Luckily, they were blessed with glorious sunshine on day 1, and the morning consisted of an assessment in Ski School, to gauge the children's skiing ability. Once groups were determined, they took to the slopes and put their skills to the test. Alongside plenty of exhilarating skiing throughout the week, the children also had fun sledging and visited the local town to do a spot of shopping.

The delicious Italian food was a highlight for the children; they indulged in p

Our third and final core subject to hone in on, is Maths! Maths isn't just a subject we learn in school, it's a vital part of our daily lives; from cooking and measuring ingredients, to calculating discounts and budgeting, it is everywhere. That is why our Manor House children are timetabled to 3.5 hours per week.

In FV, children focus on topics such as Number and Place Value, Multiplication and Division, Properties of Shape, and Data Handling. It is also highly beneficial for them to have weekly times tables, and mental maths tests. Our FVI children are introduced to BIDMAS, and continue to

We are shining the spotlight on another of our 'sporting heroes', Henry Pollock. Henry joined Beachborough School in 2008, and after discovering a love for rugby at an early age, he could always be found with a rugby ball in hand every break time.

Henry was a key member of the victorious team, at the Sibford Sevens U12 Festival in 2017, before going on to play for the U13A side, during his final year. His prowess didn't go unnoticed, when he was quickly snapped up by Northampton Saints Academy, at just 13 years old. Henry's rugby career has gone from strength-to-strength, and in recent years

Yesterday afternoon, our FV children returned from their residential trip to York!

The first stop on their tour of York was Cliffords Tour, where they enjoyed a self-guided visit and views of York's historic skyline, from the top of the tower. On the second day, the children were split into two groups. The first group took a 30 minute walk to Jorvik Viking Centre - an immersive attraction, that transported the children back to the Viking Age, in the city of Jorvik. Our second group visited the Jorvik Dig, where they uncovered the most amazing artifacts from 2000 years of York's history! Once

Curiosity got the better of them, and so, our children headed into the woods to see if they could spot our new friends. Much to their surprise, there were four dinosaurs hiding amongst the trees! The excitement took over, as the dinosaurs came closer to say hello, before disappearing deeper into the woods.

Following our unexpected visit, the children sat patiently in the Whybrow Theatre,

A small group of Beachburians recently took a trip to Cheltenham College, for an afternoon of Science.

First of all, they had the fascinating opportunity to dissect their own owl pellets, and discovered the skulls of mice and shrews, among the feathers and fur! After this, they visited the Physics Department, where they used equipment such as stroboscopes, oscilloscopes, pendulums, and projectors to solve a variety of puzzles.

In Chemistry, they made glow in the dark, luminous solutions. This was followed by creating gases that caused a loud, squeaky explosion to take place, and they explo

We also celebrated aspects such as effort grades, the most improved child in certain subject areas, the highest average score in recent mock exams, and Club credits! Mrs Mitchell gav
