What a great night last night was celebrating "Barry" receiving his Black belt. 🥋❤️
When we talk about our Judo Family this man exemplifies this. Barry's Club is Strathkelvin Judo but in the seven years he has been doing Judo he has spent two nights a week with us. So he truly is embedded into our club too. We were honoured his Coach Allan Phillips came down to present Barry with his belt and deliver a brilliant session too.

Lisa, with the wonderful space buns, started judo when she was a kid down south and decided to come back to training last year now living in Leeds. Although she thought she couldn’t remember much, judo is like riding a bike- you never forget!

Lisa comes along to our women’s and mixed sessions, she’s been competing and grading with us and even when injured came along to socialise and keep in touch. We love her attitude and enthusiasm!

Next up for Lisa is working towards her blue belt 💙
