What a fantastic start to the 2024 Olilympic games with some incredible judo on display today.

There is just over a week left to enter the summer Kin Ryu Competitions that are to be held on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August.
On Saturday 17th we have groups for Youth players ages 14-17 and Seniors.
These will be split into White to Orange belt, Green and Blue belts and Brown belts (points scoring).
Everyone will be in groups designed to match people with their age and grade where possible. We will be aiming to give 1st Kyus as many chances to pick up points as possible.
On Sunday 18th will be our normal kids competition with groups for u8yrs, red belts and yellow/orange belts. Agai

We have drawn just over half the athletes for the Olympic games, which starts in 5 days time. If you haven't drawn yet don't worry there is still time and lots of big names are still there waiting to be drawn!
The draw will be at the club this week or message me and we can draw on your behalf.

Last night we were incredibly proud and honoured to be able to present Livvy with her Dan grade.
These grades are only achieved with years of hard work, dedication and perseverance and it's fantastic to see our athletes achieve their goals.
Congratulations Livvy, you truely deserve this!

Massive thank you to everyone who came to support our event today the judo standard from the young athletes was fantastic!
Thanks to all the coaches and parents who supported and cheered on the players and kept the spirit of the event going all day.
Lastly thank you to the Kin Ryu team for their hard work and dedication. These events do not run without our army of volunteers, officials, referees and coaches who make it happen.

The individual Olympic event has finished and I wanted to thank everyone who joined in the player draw.
It's been fantastic watching the games as a community and there's been an energy in the room as our younger players have engaged with the judo as well as our seniors and parents joining in the fun.
We raised an amazing £646 for the Cadet fund so last thing is to announce the winner of the sweepstake. This was picked at random earlier and the winners are.....
