Congratulations to Laura Plumridge who won bronze 🥉in F1 -70kg at the 21st International Open Masters in Tours, France 🇫🇷 and to Daniel Cuadrado for 2 wins 2 loses in M2 -81kg.

At the Northern Ireland Open in Londonderry 🇮🇪 it was a respectable 5th place finish for Harri Elliott who was fighting for the first time in his new weight category -81kg Cadets. Sam competes tomorrow in Juniors and Seniors.

It was a 5th place for George Riley on Sat at the International Bremen Masters 🇩🇪. Solid wins vs GER and NED saw him face the eventual SWE gold medalist in round 3. This defeat dropped George down into the repechage where he won two more contests vs GER and NED opponents before the bronze fight with fellow GBR (SCO) Kevin Gordon. George was unable to get the wazari score back in a close contest so settled for a respectable 5th place finish. Another strong performance and result after his bronze in Porec Cadet European Cup last weekend

We had the privilege of hosting Nada and Konan High Schools at High Wycombe Judo Centre tonight who were visiting Harrow Judo and Paul Ajala from Japan. From the amazing food cooked by Yuki's Kitchen HW, social and games in our Japanese themed bar area JB’s Bar & Cafè to the judo session itself, it was an absolute pleasure to welcome the Judoka and Senseis to our Dojo. The nage-no-kata demonstration was the perfect way to finish an unforgettably special night

🥋 It will be a very busy weekend for the HWJC Team with 30 judoka competing both domestically and internationally.

Our international judo travels continue taking HWJC Judoka Jesse Chraniuk & George Riley to Croatia 🇭🇷 for Porec Cadet European Cup with England Judo 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Domestically we have our inaugural High Wycombe Judo Centre Senior Open 2024 on Saturday with 14 of our own Judoka competing, an army of HWJC volunteers and HWJC National A Joe as Referee in Charge.

On Sunday 14 of our lower grade juniors are competing in Bishops Stortford Judokwai RY&OB Champs.
