Choosing the right platform for a judo club's online presence is crucial for its growth and community engagement. While Facebook is a popular and versatile social network, Judo Connect offers specific advantages tailored to the needs and aspirations of judo clubs. Here are three main reasons why Judo Connect is a better choice for a judo club compared to using Facebook as their primary social network:

The juniors followed their usual warmup of exercises, stretching, breakfalls and cartwheels before starting their technical drills. This centred around Mune gatame and the escape. A demonstration was completed and they then partnered up to practice. All the players worked really hard producing some good identifiable techniques. The session then changed slightly, Liam who is completing his level one coaching came in to learn all about the games our juniors play as part of their warm down. He was treated to turtles, zombies, stuck in the mud, belt game, snakes and finally sea and shore. This ses

Thursday night BJJ with Vernon, it was a bit like a sauna in there even with the door open. Certainly a good sweat and a couple of great drills before some sparing to finish us off. It's a shame this little clip did not catch more or Vernon and Pete.

A brilliant days Judo at Wirral Judo Club and a huge thank you to Louise Renicks who took charge and put the guys through their paces.
An insight to current trends and techniques doing the rounds at international tournaments, great randori and drills. Thanks also to our Caz who kicked things off with a superb Newaza session to warm everyone up and helping to organise the event. 😁🥋💪

For two weeks we have added tai otoshi to our throwing drills and combined it with kesa gatame and juji gatame. Adam and Connor then produced some great tai otoshi in randori. I was all 😊! Here’s Adam demonstrating how to link a throw into an armlock. Nice hikite/ sleeve pull Adam.

On Tuesday 7th May, we welcomed Year 5 children from The Radstone Primary School, Helmdon Primary School, and Finmere Primary School, to join our FV Beachburians for our second CTI event of the year.
The day was jam-packed with exciting activities, which centered around the theme of 'bikes'. The morning began with an impressive trick display, from BMX Halfpipe Champion, Mike Mullen; the children were amazed, and couldn't wait to have a go themselves! In the TED Suite, they created pedalling creatures, using the electric saws and pillar drills, before connecting a simple crank. In the Science

Monday night was our Fortnightly Fighting Fit session, a chance for all ages to come together, get a sweat on, and focus on technique & Randori practice with a view to competitive judo. This week was lead by Martin & John, who took the group (White belts to Dan grades, with a 60+ year age range) through plenty of exercises & drills, before finishing up with some old school "Koka-bashing".
For those too young to remember, a Koka was a tiny score, and the aim of this style of Randori practice is you must go for a throw, any throw, even if it's not going to be a winning one - building confidence
