British Judo has awarded Oxford Schools of Judo “Elite” schools provider status.
This award is the highest level of excellence for delivering Judo in to schools ensuring safe practice, high quality coaching and excellent standards.
Commenting on the award, British Judo Senior Club Coach Tony Wilkins said “this is a great accolade for Oxford Schools of Judo and we will continue to work with British Judo to deliver Consistently high standards and procedures so that children and adults of all ages and levels can continue to enjoy Judo in Safe, fun environments.

Oxford Schools of Judo junior member Catherine Miles competed in the IAPS girls judo championships last Sunday.
In a tough competition, Catherine fought her way through the rounds at High Wycombe Judo Centre and secured a place in the final of her respective weight category which resulted in a well earned Silver Medal. A delighted Catherine was more than pleased as this is only her second competition since starting Judo.
Well done to Catherine from all of us at the club.

First Judo fit workshop. Coach Tony Wilkins & Oxford Schools of Judo member Kyle Pepperrell completed the first of the new Judo Fit socially distanced workouts in a drizzly Quarry Recreation ground tonight. Senior Members are welcome to join us Tuesday eves at 7pm by confirmation from Tony. Hopefully see you soon!

Another successful evening with Oxford Schools of Judo Senior members Phil, Owen, Will and leas by coach Tony taking part in the new “ Judo Fit “ sessions which include Cardio, Abs , plyo’s, and conditioning drills specific for Judo training. Well done guys, a brilliant effort and hard work again !

We are delighted to announce that Junior Judo will be returning next term. In line with Government guidelines, British Judo has confirmed that under 18’s contact judo can now resume.
Regular junior members will be contacted shortly to resume their memberships.

Oxford Schools of Judo student Aden Rawlings entered his first Senior competition, the High Wycombe Kyu grade cup championships last Saturday.
Aden was on stunning form and blasted his way through the rounds to secure a place in the final of his respective weight category. In the last minute of the final Aden was narrowly defeated but nevertheless earned an extremely well deserved Silver Medal.
Congratulation to Aden on his result!

Worcester Judo Club hosted the Orange belt and under competition on Sunday 1st October. Oxford Schools of Judo member Nathan Shen entered the event as his debut to Judo Contest.
Fighting through the rounds in his respective weight category Nathan came up against some tough opposition but was delighted to secure a well earned Bronze Medal.
This is a great result from a very promising young Judoka!

Oxford Schools of Judo senior ladies member Ella Gage was presented with “Player of the term” at our final session last night. Ella has improved significantly this term and has demonstrated the diligence and determination that Judo requires to excel. We look forward to seeing more of her success in the coming year!

The Northern Home Counties Training Day took place at High Wycombe Judo Centre on Saturday 6th January.

Oxford Schools of Judo Senior member, Nathan Shen produced some stunning, determined Judo last Saturday.
Competing at the British Judo Green belt and under championships at High Wycombe Judo Centre, Nathan smashed his way through the rounds in his respective weight category resulting in a place in the final when he held his opponent down for an amazing Ippon and taking the Gold medal!
Brilliant result from a very promising Judoka!
