Our Invitation Only senior session continues to thrive. There are so many advantages in knowing the level and perhaps more important the size of the players attending each week. Last night 5 ladies 5 men which included 2 Dans, 2 1st kyus and 6 blue and unders. All within a working weight level. I was reluctant to try this experiment but had nothing to lose as my senior session had been wrecked by Covid. We have the promise of new novice seniors at the end of May so hopefully t

Our Tuesday night sessions have became super busy recently and to ensure plenty of space on the mat for safe practice, we are implementing a waiting list for our Tuesday sessions.

We do have some spaces available at our Ashington YMCA sessions on a Monday evening, and also our Saturday mornings at Newbiggin Sports Centre.

Huge congratulations to Dan eltorero1979 on his (belated) award for runner up in the Adult Improvement of the Year.

We give out the awards in January for the previous year, however Dan got injured literally the session before and has been out rehabbing since! We’re glad he’s fully healed and looking forward to seeing him more regularly!

At the East Anglian Fours and Dan grading today we had just the one player in action. Tom took a well earned bronze in a group of brown belts and went on to win a contest at the grading giving him 20 points toward his black belt. A big thank you to Eden who did not have any opponents so manned a table most of the day.
Also, those players who earned their red belts at our grading last Monday will be provided with their new belts by the club. We will order them tomorrow. There was a time when they were provided free by the BJA, however, we will meet the cost for you and hopefully help toward the
