Update on days/times! We will be closed Bank Holiday Monday (the Sunday session is also cancelled)

Ruby is in the English Open today! One of the top UK tournaments. Unfortunately she’s been struggling with a little bit of an ankle injury recently but fingers crossed for her she has a good day.

Here it is! Ruby’s result from the English Open.
Bronze! 3rd place, and we couldn’t be more proud of her! Ruby works super hard week in week out, and this result shows just how good she is. She is fighting the top fighters in this competition as the youngest in her category as well.
As always, many thanks to Chris Soakell for taking her and coaching her on the day.

Some more exciting news, but not as exciting as Ruby’s medal yesterday….
We are thinking of putting a Sunday 6pm Juniors session on, aimed at competition preparation and stepping it up. Would parents be interested? Drop them off and get some time to get school uniforms sorted for the week!
We are also looking at a Seniors “introduction to grappling arts” class at 7pm on a Sunday, which will be a joint session with the BJJ club in the centre to teach the basics of breakfalling, basic self defence and basic techniques to take you into either the Judo or BJJ classes. Thoughts?

Grading on Sunday! 10am, bring your family, have some breakfast! The cafe will be open with bacon, sausage and other good stuff.
Belts will be available on the day for the Sho grades for a few quid to save everyone cash.
Hopefully see you all there, it will be a great day as the kids are all really ready!

Grading day tomorrow! 10am start in the dojo, please arrive a few minutes BEFORE so we can start promptly.

Fantastic day today at the club grading with over 20 players grading on the day. A real club effort to get the grading organised and completed from all. Thank you everyone for your support we hope you had a great time as we did organising.

All of the grades have now been updated on the BJA database. The BJA will send you a certificate through the post in the next couple of weeks confirming the new grade. Can anybody who did not bring their licence and logbook today please bring it this week so it can be signed. If you have not received it yet then once you have them can you bring them to the club so we can sign the logbook.
