Good turnout last night despite the intense heat.
We would like to thank our visitor Nik from South Africa who is working in Scunthorpe for a few weeks to take time out and visit our club. 🥋💪

Summer holidays are now in full swing and the club will be closing to allow players and coaches time to enjoy and recharge their batteries.
Our last Friday session will be 2nd August and our last Monday session will be 5th August, all sessions will be back to normal on Friday 30th August.
Enjoy this time off with friends and family and again thankyou for your support on and off the mat. 🥋☀️

Great turnout at the club again last night , and great effort from everyone.
Busy weekend of judo for the club
Today, sadly we only have Chloe who will be flying the flag for the club at The Craig Fallon Cup in Walsall but I am sure she will do us proud, also Ant will be representing England in the team event at the same competition, and tomorrow we are at Nottingham with Tim, Fraser and Connor , this will be Tim's first competition and also Connor again will be looking for more points towards his black belt.
Good luck everyone, enjoy and never stop learning.

Some great judo from Fraser and Tim this morning, no medals but some excellent wins from both players and great transitions to the ground,
6 fights, 2 wins for Tim and 4 fights and 1 win for Fraser,
The results do not show the true picture, excellent result for both players and especially for Tim's first competition as well. 💪🥋

Massive well done to everyone who competed today , long tiring day but lots of positives to take from it and of course lots to work on , wouldn't have it any other way. Results are.
Gold 🥇 Sam

Unfortunately Ant lost against the French lad and failed to bring Ant back to fight in the repecharge.
Great account of himself and to get your first win at a European cup event is a great achievement, I am sure this is just the start.
Training camp next for him.

Bronze for Jacob on his first competition with a very nice win and a silver for Dillon.

Today we have 4 players competing at Lincoln .
We welcome Jacob and Leo to the competitive scene and Lilly who has done competitions before but this will be her first for our club, not forgetting a familiar face in Dillon .

Congratulations to Chloe yesterday who was fighting in Scotland in a interclub team event and although she won 2 fights and lost 1 the actual team won a bronze medal.
Well done Chloe.

Ant lost his first fight after a dominant first few minutes he was then took to the ground and strangled.
The lad that beat Ant has now just lost his next fight so the competition is over for Ant
No consolation for Ant I know and he will be hurting right now, but he looked strong and confident, maybe just missing that killer instinct, that will come.
Well done from all at the club 💪🥋

All the best to Ant who is fighting this weekend in Lithuania at The Kaunas Junior European cup.
Ant has a Latvian fighter first and then the no.1 seed .
Another tournament abroad which is where he should be, gaining valuable experience to set him up nicely for the future.
