At the Don Werner memorial competition at Brentwood Essex we had just William in action. Two wins saw him progress to the semi final and like the Kent International suffer a defeat that left him with yet another bronze medal. It is somewhat bizarre to say I was more pleased with his losing fight simply because of his mature fight management. It may sound crazy but he did everything right other than win the contest but that is not to take anything away from his conqueror who thoroughly deserved his win and eventual gold medal. We do not have many players I am prepared to risk outside the Easter

Sunday, we had a get-together at Hingham for a couple hours of judo, then sat and watched the Olympics. Thanks for those who came for the fun.

In the '70s and '80s, Easterhouse Centar had a fierce reputation as one of the best judo clubs in Scotland.

A TOUGH DAY of judo contest at the Eastern Area Ranking Open today at Thetford 🥋😎

Daisy and Yonas both entered the Junior and Senior sections and showed some really strong and determined contest judo between them. Yonas was awarded with a bronze medal in the juniors for his efforts and Daisy took the silver in the juniors and a silver in the seniors ! 🥉🥈🥈🥋🥋

It was great to see them step into this level of event where judoka are awarded national ranking points for winning positions in their groups and they both managed well with the skilled and experienced opponents they faced in contest - A

After a year and a half of no high level judo - Ollie took part in the Eastern Area Senior Ranking event. Sadly it was a quiet event but still some good u60s players in attendance including the current British Silver medalist. Ollie in his own style comfortably took gold…. Videos to follow 😊

The ARU team of staff and students visiting India over the Easter break have returned with some fabulous stories of their experience. We caught up with Social Work student, Uno Masango to find out more.

Garhwal English Medium School near Kempti is a non-profit English medium school based in Sainji village. The children are mostly from poor families, and the parents are largely uneducated. Our mission was to support learning activities and to interact with the community to gain insight into their way of life and the challenges they face.

It was apparent there are disproportionately more boys
