Sunday, we had a get-together at Hingham for a couple hours of judo, then sat and watched the Olympics. Thanks for those who came for the fun.

Jack competed at the East Anglian Fours comp and Dan Grading last weekend. A bronze medal in the comp and some promotion points in the grading means Jack is gaining loads of experience and steadily progressing towards his black belt.

It is World Judo Day today - 'bring a friend'!
Well, I think we succeeded in celebrating that ethos today at our invitational competition at Hingham today. We met with some long standing friends, welcomed new friends, and forged links with other local clubs. We saw some absolutely fantastic effort, determination, and most importantly enjoyment. It was noticeable how happy the competitors were, win or lose.
I have no idea how our WJC players performed today - it's all been a bit of a blur for me today and my focus was on running a competent competition, rather than our players performance.

Please get entry details to us this weekend. This is a perfect first competition or development competition for our younger players and is the final competition of the year, locally.

Best of luck to our players competing at Kumo Judo Club today:
Under 8s - Noah, Isla, Alfie, Bea,
8yrs+ - Aston, Henry, Edward, Rylee, Connie

Fantastic effort by all of our little fighters today, especially by the competition first timers Noah, Isla, Alfie, Bea, Edward, and Connie who all impressed me with their enthusiasm, determination, and courage. There were some wins and some losses but that is less important than enjoying themselves and learning which, I hope on reflection, they all did!
For Aston, Henry, and Rylee it's great to see them improve every time they go out the

Below article about recent Adaptive and V.I. judo event in Europe.
We have a few adaptive players at Wymondham JC some of whom have competed at British and International level in the last couple of years.
We're looking to build on that in 2024 with some of our coaches attending an Adaptive Judo Coaching course in January, and we're looking at exciting new opportunities for partnership with Special Olympics Norfolk and Active Norfolk to promote Adaptive Judo at Wymondham JC.
If you have any queries about Adaptive Judo competitions and eligibility and suitability then please do contact us to d
