Finn received the final points required for his black belt back in March and successfully completed his theory exam down in South Shields at the weekend.

Finn’s consistency and increased commitment to training over the last year has shown itself through his recent results in competition and now in achieving his black belt. We look forward to seeing Finn continue to work hard on the mat, in the gym and putting in the time to develop his judo further as a 1st Dan - the real work starts now!

From the end of March to early May, cherry trees bloom all over Japan as the blossoms only last a week or two.

In 2013 we were fortunate enough to be asked to arrange the UK Butoku Sai in Commemoration of 111th anniversary of Anglo-Japan Alliance. As a lasting legacy the 'Kuwahara Promenade' was planted and every year while in blossom we visit for Hanami.

IN MEMORY ❤️ | Philip Thomas Metcalfe. Sadly passed away on Monday 18th March 2024 aged 78 years old.

He will be very much missed by his wife Bridget, Daughters Jacqui, Nikki & Julie, Son-In-Laws Chris & Steve, Daughter-In-Law Neava, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Brother, Sisters and all his Family & Friends.

The funeral will take place at St. Peter’s Church, Peterchurch on Monday 15th April at 11.00am.

My Visit to Edinburgh

During the week commencing 26th March 2024, we had the honour of hosting Dr. Takeshi Kamitani, the national team doctor for All Japan Judo. It was a fantastic experience to spend time in his company and extend a warm welcome to him at Edinburgh Judo.

Ealing Judo Club is pleased to be a part of the development pathway for the England programme, providing high quality training for club members, area judoka and members of the England team. Our England Talent Development Centre sessions are every Thursday, 7:15-8:30pm.

There is a limited amount of free parking, please park considerately if in a residential street rather than in the car park. West Acton Tube Station (Central Line) is a 300m walk from our venue. North Ealing Station (Piccadilly Line) is 1km away.
