Lisa, with the wonderful space buns, started judo when she was a kid down south and decided to come back to training last year now living in Leeds. Although she thought she couldn’t remember much, judo is like riding a bike- you never forget!

Lisa comes along to our women’s and mixed sessions, she’s been competing and grading with us and even when injured came along to socialise and keep in touch. We love her attitude and enthusiasm!

Full training continues through the Summer at ICENI Taekwon-do in Beccles - Summer is a great time to START Traditional Taekwon-do Training with ICENI Taekwon-do Club, who are a British Martial Arts & Boxing Association registered club. Our training is at The Venue, Beccles on Mondays and Thursdays and includes: hand and feet martial arts techniques, kicking, punching, blocking, sparring, bag work, technique patterns, ‘destruction’ board breaking, react and counter streetwise self defence, nationally recognised belt gradings. Well done to all of our juniors who participated in a very busy grading this past weekend! 👏

We are really proud of the level of effort, determination and enthusiasm for judo that everyone demonstrated across the two days of grading.

Hot one tonight but a fantastic session with everyone putting in 💯 effort!

Everyone had a moment where they shined which we were very proud to see!

In the kids class we saw Flynn pass his red belt grading with flying colours! Flynn is as tough as they come and never backs down from a challenge! Well done Flynn! 🙌

In the adults class we blended technical and games in a relaxed session, before turning the intensity up for some standing to ground transition work followed by randori!
