Massive well done to Ben and Sensei Beth who were both selected to represent London area Judo their respected teams last weekend at the prestigious National Teams Championships in Wolverhampton where they helped their senior women’s and cadet/ junior teams make the finals with some nice wins to help their teams. Both finished with silver Medals after tough battles in the finals against The NHC and Scotland. #well down to all who competed, coaches and officiated making this again such an exciting event for all.

Laura won 4/4 fights this weekend for NHC’s senior women’s team. 💪🥋

Unfortunately the NHC Minors & Pre Cadet team never medaled at yesterdays British National Team Championships 🇬🇧

But this year saw a young team put together who for the majority was their first ever National Teams, Each of them stepped up and fought out of their skin and should all have gone home proud of themselves, I have no doubt this group of lads will only come back next year more experienced and even stronger 💪🏻

So proud of our Minors & Pre Cadets who traveled to Bishop Stortford for NHC Area training today. They all stepped up to the occasion and gave 💯
Both myself & Ben Young were so impressed with all their attitudes and work ethic throughout the session! With each fighter putting in some impressive technical throwing during the randori and even when being on the receiving end, each one of them got themselves up and just got stuck in never giving up.
Also fantastic to watch our older Pre Cadets looking out for the Minor players on the mat this morning.

With seniors working on their syllabus theory, this Tuesday we would like to do a refresh on Yoko-Guruma.

1, Be ready, and when your partner attacks you, move around the technique
2, Grab around the waist and as you move around in a circle, stick your leg out
3, Use the circular momentum, lift and wheel your partner over onto their back.
