Unfortunately the NHC Minors & Pre Cadet team never medaled at yesterdays British National Team Championships 🇬🇧
But this year saw a young team put together who for the majority was their first ever National Teams, Each of them stepped up and fought out of their skin and should all have gone home proud of themselves, I have no doubt this group of lads will only come back next year more experienced and even stronger 💪🏻

Rocco will be fighting tomorrow in his 2nd consecutive National Teams, this year he will fight in the u46kg category in the NHC minor & pre-cadet boys team. At this years British National Team Championships 🇬🇧
There is nothing more important then enjoying yourself out there on the mat and soaking up the team spirit at the National Teams 🦍

Great couple of days at the Mikadav International training camp in Belgium 🇧🇪 over 200 players on the mat from 9 different countries! Our fighters are coming away with over 30 x 3min rounds of Tachi Waza Randori and lots of newaza! 🥋

So proud of our Minors & Pre Cadets who traveled to Bishop Stortford for NHC Area training today. They all stepped up to the occasion and gave 💯
Both myself & Ben Young were so impressed with all their attitudes and work ethic throughout the session! With each fighter putting in some impressive technical throwing during the randori and even when being on the receiving end, each one of them got themselves up and just got stuck in never giving up.
Also fantastic to watch our older Pre Cadets looking out for the Minor players on the mat this morning.

Today we had Rory Barnes step up and compete in his first ever Judo competition at today’s Moberly Stars U8 Judo Festival ⭐️ Rory was flying the Team A.S Judo flag solo today! He had a great first fight throwing his opponent in the first 7sec!!! After a total of 3 fights he came away with an impressive Bronze medal 🥉 congratulations Rory on doing a fantastic job today 🙌🏻 and a special thank you to Macey Wealleans for mat side coaching today 😊

The squad was lucky enough to have an inspiring session this evening before they head out to Antwerp 🇧🇪 this weekend with a masterclass led by one of the best fighters to have represented Great Britain from his generation,the legend Paul Leishman having Paul share his knowledge and experience is absolutely priceless! Thank you as always Paul for your continued support and guidance 🙏🏻And best of luck to you mate out in Spain 🇪🇸 ⚽️
