Choosing the right platform for a judo club's online presence is crucial for its growth and community engagement. While Facebook is a popular and versatile social network, Judo Connect offers specific advantages tailored to the needs and aspirations of judo clubs. Here are three main reasons why Judo Connect is a better choice for a judo club compared to using Facebook as their primary social network:

Our beginners, basics and fundamentals class was packed again last night! Nearly 40 on the mats!
Judokas of the week were…
Evie for a second week running showing great consistency and all the qualities of the Judo code 🥋
Charlie for sticking to the technique of the night and using proper form to move a heavier uke. Great attitude and effort 🥋
John for getting stuck into his Judo and improving every session, lots of neat and tidy judo from him. 🥋
We still have space for you to join us. £5 per session or £40 for 8 sessions and a brand new Gi 🥋
We are also bringing another of these sessions

This week has been “no Gi”week. Challenging our judokas to find ways to throw or pin without using traditional grips.
Even our beginners, basics and fundamentals session get involved.
Players of the night were…
John, Mr Consistency, always accurate with his technique and a great example that it’s never too late to learn something new. 🥋
Hannah again! She pays full attention and picks up the small details that make a big difference 🥋
Overall player of the night was Jack. A strong lad who’s working hard to add skill to the strength, persevering to get better with each throw🥋

If you work hard and you're coachable, and you understand what you need to do, you can improve. Consistency is the last refuge of the unimaginative. You cannot be a winner without maturity and consistency. With consistency and reps and routine you're going to achieve your goals and get where you want to be.
Good training team!

Great Job Angie!
Congratulations to Angeline Ratcliffe for being awarded the Judo Alberta Most Improved Judoka of the Year. She had an up and down season result wise but she had some nice break throughs and most importantly there was an improved consistency in her judo. Angeline has always been a hard worker, she has always drilled hard, she has always been dedicated and gives her best in each training. Last season she had a record of 11W-21L and this season she 21W-11L record with an impressive gold medal at the 2024 U18 Saskatchewan Open, the Alberta WInter Games and fantastic Bronze Medal

There aren't many grades in Jiu Jitsu
⬜️⬛️⬛️⬜️⬜️⬜️ White
🟦⬛️⬛️🟦🟦🟦 Blue
🟪⬛️⬛️🟪🟪🟪 Purple
🟫⬛️⬛️🟫🟫🟫 Brown
⬛️🟥🟥⬛️⬛️⬛️ Black
I'll always tell students not to worry about belts, concentrate on skill acquisition and consistency. If you do this, the grades will naturally come.
You'd rather be a killer white belt than a weak Blue belt.
Stay the course 🔥

Congratulations to EdinburghJudo’s newest 1st Dan, Finn T 🎉
Finn received the final points required for his black belt back in March and successfully completed his theory exam down in South Shields at the weekend.
Finn’s consistency and increased commitment to training over the last year has shown itself through his recent results in competition and now in achieving his black belt. We look forward to seeing Finn continue to work hard on the mat, in the gym and putting in the time to develop his judo further as a 1st Dan - the real work starts now!
Well done Finn! 🤜💥🤛
