NICE TO KNOW:
WHERE DOES THE GI COME FROM??? 🤔
IN 13th Century Okinawa (1477 to be precise), the use of weapons was outlawed, and so the training of martial arts was done in secrecy at nighttime. This is probably where the meaning of “empty hand” in reference to the martial art was derived as the men were training without weapons, this term further developed at a later stage, but we are discussing gis and not karate.
The story goes that the gi not only provided fluidity of movement for training, but it could quickly double as the white sleeping garment that was commonly worn by men at the

If you work hard and you're coachable, and you understand what you need to do, you can improve. Consistency is the last refuge of the unimaginative. You cannot be a winner without maturity and consistency. With consistency and reps and routine you're going to achieve your goals and get where you want to be.
Good training team!

Zephyrus is becoming a model 😍
When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted.

Our club have been receiving messages asking if their 3 yr old baby can train judo or Jiujitsu with us and we always say YES. .
Teaching judo or Jiujitsu to kids is far different from teaching the same art to adults or teens.
Most of our students are very intelligent, and for their age, they are playful and enjoying all the kinds of exercises. Yes, coach is also like a kid playing with them because they are a sheer joy to be around and spend time with.

Sports help in improving the physical, mental, and social well-being of children .
Parents should encourage their kids to take up any kind of sports that is most suited to them in terms of their interest level. By engaging in physical activities, you can make your kid active both physically and mentally.
Dear parents try our judo and Jiujitsu classes here and join our Ippon team.

Why Judo is good for children?
Judo was founded by a small old man. He weighed 87 pounds at his peak. If it’s not already obvious, Judo can teach a weak child how to defend him/herself against a bigger and/or stronger opponent. Judo is based on a philosophy of “maximum efficiency and minimal effort”, which means that brute force and overpowering strength are not always the avenues to success. By properly understanding body movements, leverage, balance, and the use of an opponent’s momentum, as well as gravity itself, a small person can easily overpower a large person. A skilled child Judo

Judo for seniors is a holistic approach to physical and mental fitness, offering a unique combination of low-impact exercise, adapted techniques, and a supportive community. As individuals age, staying active becomes increasingly vital, and Judo provides an inclusive and enjoyable way to achieve this. Whether you’re a martial arts expert or a complete beginner, Judo has something to offer for everyone, making it a valuable addition to the wellness journey of senior citizens. So, why not step onto the tatami (Judo mat) and discover the myriad benefits that Judo can bring to your golden years?
