Choosing the right platform for a judo club's online presence is crucial for its growth and community engagement. While Facebook is a popular and versatile social network, Judo Connect offers specific advantages tailored to the needs and aspirations of judo clubs. Here are three main reasons why Judo Connect is a better choice for a judo club compared to using Facebook as their primary social network:

When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted.

SCOTTISH OPEN 2024🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Xavière, Neil and Kirsty kicked off our competitions for the year at the Scottish Open, an amazing opportunity getting to compete against international fighters from as far afield as 🇺🇸 and 🇯🇵

Xav managed to come away with a bronze medal- a brilliant performance with wins in both tachiwaza (standing) and newaza (groundwork) 💪 We are so proud of you ❤️

Massive congratulations also to Edi Uni student ollieshorttt who came away with gold in -73kgs 👏👏

This kicks off an exciting month ahead for EUJC, full steam ahead for some big team performances at SSS and BUCS 🚂

The Scottish All Stars Championships were held at Ravenscraig today. We had several players competing, some at their first competition! This event is a development event maximising the time each player has on the mat. This resulted in all players showing off their great judo skills in tachiwaza and newaza by scoring ippon! The coaches are very proud of everyone's effort today. Although the focus is on players skill development there were well earned medals to take home. Well done all!

This weeks junior session started with a warmup followed by some stretching and their breakfalls. They then had a go at some cartwheels again!, let’s call this a work in progress. The main body of training took the form of randori, firstly with Tachiwaza where one players did all the throwing and the other offering some light resistance. Then they swapped over roles and then changed partners which gave them the chance to try their techniques on different sizes of opponents. Their last part of training was in Newaza, changing partners every few minutes. They finished their session with a couple

Welcome to 2024 and we hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. We had a good turnout of juniors and after a steady warmup, some stretching and breakfalls they got into their session. This took the form of a round robin of Tachiwaza, different ages and sizes all working together which took up most of the session. They also worked on mat etiquette particularly for competitions, bowing on/off the mat, referee’s terminology and importantly when to and not to release your opponent!!

After the senior warmup and to get back into the swing of things they practiced moving around the mat area
