Massive congratulations to Jake and Joe, who were only graded to 1st Kyu in July, both won their line ups today to achieve the goal of 'Black Belt'.🥋

A great big well done to Sharon who had 6 tough fights against higher grades. No points today, but she is getting better every time she steps on the mat. The points will come and the new belt with it.

The club are delighted to announce that Ant Williams has decided to re-sign for the club!

12 months after leaving for Buckfastleigh, Ant has decided to return to Abbrook to strengthen Dan Tyler’s squad and help them gain promotion back to the prem!

A strong, versatile & vocal defender with great passing ability, Ant gives our defence strength and confidence to play the type of football the new manager desires!

Hello everyone. We are very much looking forward to hosting our Annual Rumble competition this coming Sunday. It looks set to be a cracking day with approximately 225 entrants (over 3 mats) from age 4 to veterans. We have gone through all entries, and for any size/experiance anomalies, we have emailed coaches. Most of these relate to 7yr old kinders who due to size or experiance, we will likely move up to contest with our 8yr old primaries, a category where in most other competitions, they would contest in anyway. However we pride ourselves in providing a really positive contest experiance

Good luck to our judoka at Shizentai Rumble on Sunday!

The programme runs from 5 locations within England and will offer the opportunity for fighters to increase their weekly training volume while working towards a vocational qualification that is now recognised by UCAS. DISE is designed to support and complement a fighters club and squad training.

A big congratulations to our judoka at The Shizentai Rumble 2024! They all did extremely well and all medalled. It’s so great watching the younger judoka doing so well in class and that translating to the competitions. Keep up the great work!
