I'd never given judo it's credit, but after befriending 2 black belts, I started to see the benefits (ie, they'd dispatch of me fairly easily when we wrestled in the living room at home 😅)

I was previously a boxer, and what appealed to me about judo was that there was a gentle nature about it. You could protect yourself without the need to hurt another, even doing so compassionately. Turns out judo is an undiscovered gem in martial arts, so off I went to Chichester roni

Andy and I, alongside our friends Karim and Tracey at Cho's Tae Kwon Do have taken over the running of Ferniegair Hall and created the Martial Arts Community Hub.

As well as being the new full time premises for both martial arts schools we are extremely proud to have been able to accommodate the vast majority of the existing residents who have used this community facility for many, many years.

Alongside the martial arts which will be taking place in the new Dojo/Dojang space we have two other areas ready to welcome local clubs and activities.

We are very excited to announce that we have taken over the running and maintenance of Ferniegair Hall in its centenary anniversary. The hall will now be known as The Martial Arts Community Hub. We have begun our renovations in order to improve the current facility and return it to its original successful and vibrant community building. We have now also begun to welcome back many of the previous community clubs,classes and faith groups; aswell as some new faces.
