Garhwal English Medium School near Kempti is a non-profit English medium school based in Sainji village. The children are mostly from poor families, and the parents are largely uneducated. Our mission was to support learning activities and to interact with the community to gain insight into their way of life and the challenges they face.

Exciting news! 🙌 Thanks to a £9.4m funding boost from LifeArc and Kidney Research UK, alongside experts from the University and Alder Hey, thousands of people living with rare kidney disease will get access to improved diagnostics, treatments and potentially cures.

Over the next five years, the LifeArc-Kidney Research UK Centre for Rare Kidney Diseases will create a £9.4m ‘UK Kidney Ecosystem’ which will develop new treatments for children and adults.

A donation from the University's Community Fund has helped Cambo Heritage Trust support volunteers to develop new skills and help combat climate change challenges.

The Trust’s Compost Club was awarded £1800 for its efforts to reduce or reuse waste positively around the gardens.

Since it was launched the Compost Club has developed to include the creation of a ‘dead hedge’ in the children’s play area that promotes biodiversity; composted all green waste from the café including coffee grounds, tissues, and paper towels; and established ‘no dig’ beds in the vegetable garden with waste cardboard

Stuart and Brian attended the seminar hosted by United Judo Club in Kent - where participants switched their judo suits for casual clothing to take part in real terms.

We are super excited to be planning to launch the 'Finding your Feet' classes soon at Ely Dojo !🥳🥋

These classes have been developed by Dr McDonald at Anglia Ruskin University and Dr Callan at the University of Hertfordshire. The purpose is to help our older aged community have better balance,

The Bears programme is for the ages 11-13 years.

Each session is a blend of skill-building drills, challenging techniques and interactive games.
