Special mention to twarn_tastic and blazejsroka who put on a fantastic showing over at NAGA.

Between 2 events and 6 competitors, top team was 31-3 yesterday. 21 of our wins coming by way of submission. Overwhelming victory ☝️

We put everyone on notice that points mean little to us. We go for the submission at every opportunity!

The level of grappling on show yesterday

Another busy weekend for the team as had competitors head off to NAGA Grappling on Saturday in London.

We had Daisy taking double gold, Toby taking silver and bronze and Alfie taking double silver. All competing in the expert divisions real serious level matches.

Mo competing in the expert divisions taking silver and a bronze medal, matches with an elite black belt which resulted in a war and he showing true attacks in his matches.

Hayley taking double gold in her expert divisions, achieving 17-0 and finished a submission with 2 seconds left.

A short trip over to Runcorn today for grapplewars

3 people in action today, first up was sionemlyn_ coming out with a draw in a hard fought contest!

2nd was dredessi, a super fast footlock in 36 seconds and coming out the winner 🔥

Lastly we had Pippa competing in her first sub only event. A great performance which saw her coming away with a nice triangle submission win! pippaaaaar

More continued results from Saturday were had two of our competitors mocoles and hayleyvmma go down to Cardiff to compete on adcc_wales

First we had Hayley first match competing in the absolute open weight class unfortunately just missed out, however dominating in the women’s advanced division with both submission finishes coming away with Gold.

Then we had mocoles competing in the Men’s advanced division, winning his first match by points and moving to the finals but unfortunately just missed out. However always bringing the results and never shy’s away from stepping up.

Lory was looking to improve on his performance earlier in the year whilst Matt was stepping up to the challenge of his first BJJ Competition. Coach Jordan was running around the mats providing the coaching assistance.

First up to the mat was Lory who secured a very quick submission victory in his first match, followed by a dominant performance of passing and positional control to win his second and secure a place in the final. He was unfortunate to miss out on gold after losing to a very talen

It also presents an a further oppotunity for our members to study additional grappling martial arts such as Brazillian Ju-jitsu (BJJ) and Submission Grappling

Saturday 1 st April, High Wycombe Dan Grading: -
Two of our 1 st kyu senior members took up the challenge, Jon Schoenewolf and Anthony Aquing.

Jon sustained a foot injury and had to withdraw from any further fights so sadly did not add to his
tally of points for his first dan – however I am assured that “he will be back”!

Anthony fared better, in this, his first dan grading; he gained forty points towards his first dan, a
positive result.
