Choosing the right platform for a judo club's online presence is crucial for its growth and community engagement. While Facebook is a popular and versatile social network, Judo Connect offers specific advantages tailored to the needs and aspirations of judo clubs. Here are three main reasons why Judo Connect is a better choice for a judo club compared to using Facebook as their primary social network:

Our last session of 2023 was completed yesterday evening. We drilled the ogoshi throw and then used ogoshi to set set up ouchi gari using classic judo action/ reaction principles. In newaza we drilled okuri eri jime and then reintroduced old our friend the juji gatame armlock when uke defends the strangle. Once the mats were away there was a sip of sake rice wine preceded by a shout of ‘banzai!!’. Good work guys.

After their warmup , stretching and breakfalls the junior session started with a demonstration of Tai Otoshi. The juniors were then paired off and went to practice. After a few changes they then went into some randori using competition rules and referee terminology to practice the throw in a competition environment. After a water break they began practicing transition into hold downs using Ogoshi into Kesa Gatame or Kuzushi Kesa Gatame then another round of randori as previously. The session finished with a game of crab football. A great effort from all the juniors and improvement was noticed

The junior session welcomed back Tumas back onto the mat after breaking a toe at a recent competition which has kept him out of action. They started their session by warming up, stretching and completing their breakfalls before finishing with more cartwheels. All slowly improving. The session worked on Uke goshi with emphasis on the body’s position and not confusing this throw with Ogoshi. Whilst the younger players worked on these elements and using the safety mats for landing the older players were encouraged to work left and right handed. They moved on to the hold down Kuzure kesa gatame a

The junior session started with their warmup followed by some stretching, breakfalls and finally cartwheels all of which keep improving. Improving balance came next and this saw the juniors hopping on one leg then the other. Then came a speed exercise, in pairs they faced each other in the press up position then using their hands tried to pull their opponents hand away in an effort t make them lose their balance. This also helps to strengthen the arms. Then using uchikomi they moved up and down the length of the mat turning in for Ogoshi. A round robin of tachi waza and Newaza before a final
