Congratulations to Cameron Hickey for his selection to represent Great Britain at the Junior European Team Championships in Estonia next month.
The first of many selections I am sure, if he continues to work hard with an open, growth mind-set.

A recent study by ARUβs International Policing and Public Protection Research Institute (IPPPRI) reveals a disturbing trend: growing demand for AI-generated child sexual abuse material on the dark web.
Researchers found clear evidence of online offenders using AI to create and share illegal content, with a strong desire to learn and expand these harmful practices.
This underscores the urgent need for action and awareness to combat the exploitation of emerging technologies.

π΄βͺοΈ Joe Glynn 6th Dan βͺοΈπ΄
We are so pleased to announce that Joe Glynn has been awarded his 6th Dan.
Joe has been involved in Judo for 75+ years where he has coached 1000s of children and adults. In this time he has produced numerous national and international champions, he has had incredible success as Northern Area Coach, winning the National Teams Championships on multiple occasions and even had the honour of being a GB Junior support coach. Despite all of these accolades, itβs the positive influence Joe has had on people over all of his years in Judo, whereby he has instilled the moral

At the Don Werner memorial competition at Brentwood Essex we had just William in action. Two wins saw him progress to the semi final and like the Kent International suffer a defeat that left him with yet another bronze medal. It is somewhat bizarre to say I was more pleased with his losing fight simply because of his mature fight management. It may sound crazy but he did everything right other than win the contest but that is not to take anything away from his conqueror who thoroughly deserved his win and eventual gold medal. We do not have many players I am prepared to risk outside the Easter

Congratulations to Luke Davies for earning a gold medal at the Birmingham Cup, winning all contests by ippon. Having been out for a few months due to injury, itβs been really exciting to have him reach 2 finals out of two at his first international events back.
Maddy Birri placed 7th while Peter Davies won his first contest spectacularly but couldnβt convert it into a placing this time. Corey was the 4th member of the team, gaining experience for the events to come.
Thank you to Fighting Films, Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) and Spo
