This week marked the completion of Ewan’s university placement with us at the club. He took part in leading sessions across the whole club and was a great asset to our junior and disability sessions in particular.

This morning, we were lucky enough to welcome Lydia, Emma, and Joli, the lovely 'goldador' puppy, to Beachborough!

We are launching a new charity initiative, to support Dogs for Good - UK and become a puppy partner. So, this morning, Emma and Lydia delivered an insightful assembly to the children, to explain what makes Dogs for Good so special.

A trained dog supports children and adults, who find everyday life challenging, particularly those suffering with dementia, autism, or a physical disability. Dogs can be trained to open doors, call a lift, pick up shopping, help people get dressed,

Everyone at Westerleigh would like to thank the Deputy Mayor of Bexhill, Connor Winter - Independent District & Town Councillor for St Marks for joining us on our trip to the Pan - Disability World and European Judo Championships in Holland.
Connor took the roll of official photographer for our club over the long weekend. He was amazing at supporting the athletes and volunteers team and we cannot thank him enough, he is a real credit to the Bexhill Community.

Such a pleasure presenting a £500 cheque to Westerleigh Judokwai, in support of their venture to Holland this April. This donation will help with their participation in the Pan Disability European and World Championships, where they will showcase their tenacity and skill.

Their membership includes individuals from mainstream athletes to those overcoming physical barriers such as Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and various learning and behavioural disabilities.
