With the fast approaching holiday season almost upon us this coming Saturday 29th will be the last club judo practise for three weeks.
Closed for the 6th, 13th and 20th of July.

The judo club will be closing during the holiday period and we historically find that the attendance falls dramatically during the school holiday period.
This year we are keen to find out the possibility of only closing for a few weeks (2 - 3 weeks) dates to be confirmed.
It would help us to decide on the holiday closure if you could advise your thoughts on club attendance during school closure.

The summer holidays are now with us and the number of members attending the club on Saturdays are always low at this time of year.
We have decided to make tomorrow Saturday the 9th the last session for the summer break.
Commencing back on Saturday the 20th of August.
I have been chasing Judo Scotland for approval of the latest grading, however they have not yet processed the grading sheet due to a combination of Covid absence and now the Edinburgh holiday which means the certificates and grading awards will be on our return on the 20th.

Very sad to hear of the passing of Joe Doherty on the 29th of June.
Joe was involved in judo for over 60 years and I have known and been friends with him since my first grading back in 1968 when I received my 4th Kyu (orange belt) at Bogelston Judo Club.
