For the past 7 weeks Katie and Oliver have been working towards their level 1 coaching badges and had their final assessment in York today.

Well the guys did RJC proud today at York. Jack Hughes does it again winning gold in his weight category with Ross Gaynor close on his heels winning bronze. Ahsan had three hard fights winning one and comes away with bronze . Arsal did very well in his first competition he wins bronze. Another good day for Rochdale Judo Club

We had two competitors today travel to York for a Development Competition!

Charlie was up first and won his first with some solid attacks, his opponent picking up shidos and being disqualified. In his second fight he went down a waza ari score and had to really fight to get that score back. He managed to throw his opponent twice for waza ari, securing the win and gold medal! 🥇

Jay was in one of the last groups of the day, having been moved from the junior to senior categories to gain more fights. Jay had three fights and threw each opponent for the maximum ippon score, also gaining a gold m
