Many of you won’t know that Sensei Llewellin has begun a journey to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) and entered a competition today. Despite being a beginner and having not competed in judo for about 40 years, he had to fight in a more experienced division, so a huge challenge. He also fought in a group aged nearly 20 years younger than him! He had a some tough fights and learned lots but had a great time… here’s a short clip that shows his judo is still sharp 😉🥋bonus points if you name the throw

A massive well done to Luke on receiving his Purple belt.

Luke has been smashing the competitions, most recently in Dublin where he picked up the gold medal. He has also been competing and winning against purple belts so it's time to level him up.

Purple is a big belt, by Purple you are invested in Jiu Jitsu and it's pretty much part of your life. This is where many blue belts fall off.
