Choosing the right platform for a judo club's online presence is crucial for its growth and community engagement. While Facebook is a popular and versatile social network, Judo Connect offers specific advantages tailored to the needs and aspirations of judo clubs. Here are three main reasons why Judo Connect is a better choice for a judo club compared to using Facebook as their primary social network:

Probably my finest hour in judo, winning a 4th consecutive Gold medal in 1999 at the British Masters but more importantly my final 10 points for my competitive 3rd Dan.
Dave Saunders had beaten me 3 times before this and although we were always mates it was nice to get this one over him. Dave was a true gentleman.

VHS memories. Gemma was as close as I ever got to recreating a second Colin Oates. As a sport we all lose so many talented players too soon. We now coach in a very different way, Eden does the hard work at the Lopham base and my input is mostly restricted to our small band of competitive fighters (that includes Eden) in the cabin. The combination is working well and we are already seeing progress. We need another Colin or Jono and I still think we can achieve one. Remember to get your entry into Felixstowe and kick start your judo.

When the kabin numbers exceed the club's senior Monday evening session we must be doing something right. We had 3 Dan grades 2 brown belts and 3 red belts all subjected to a grueling 90 minutes with no place to hide. The provision of the kabin means we can provide both recreational judo at Lopham Village Hall and much harder competitive session at the kabin. My neighbors need medals for putting up with the car parking and the music resonating from the building.

Wow! What a day at the inaugural Southern Area Development Competition. We had our highest ever turnout of players! For many, it was their first time competing and I couldn’t be prouder of our them for stepping on the mat and having a go.
For others, it was a chance to further their competitive experience but it has been truly wonderful seeing how our young judoka have developed and matured. Additionally, witnessing the camaraderie and support of each other too. Win or lose, our little judo community is growing into something really quite special.
A big thank you to everyone who took part,

Well done to everyone who took part in our annual judo club competition. Some great contests! Thanks to all the coaches that came along & gave their time to support today - couldn’t do it without you. Regardless of what medal was won, today was all about given everyone some more competitive experience & hopefully everyone came away a little wiser, having learn something. Already looking forward to next years comp! Some photo’s below - please feel free to add more.
