Hundreds of students gathered at the East Sands at dawn today to take part in the traditional May Dip which is said to bring good luck in exams 🌊📚🌊

At sunrise on May Day students make their way down to East Sands and collectively run into the North Sea. As fog descended over St Andrews, students braved the chilly waters to take part in the annual tradition.

Amy won silver, Nicole won gold, Jimmy came very close to medals (still refusing to discuss the refs decision), and poor Mia was badly injured having started really well. Landrake Cross Country 2024 Fun Run 🏃‍♀️🏃
To finish the cross country season off our brave cross country runners took part in the “fun run” this afternoon.
They all ran a cornish 3 mile course.
It was wet, slippy and extremely muddy!
Hillfort school as always did themselves proud and everyone enjoyed it, it was lovely to have some parents joining in too!

We are the champions……AGAIN! 🏆

After winning the group 2 weeks ago, our Year 5/6 football team played in the finals event yesterday afternoon.
First up we secured a 2-0 victory against Harrowbarrow Primary in the semi-final so we then faced Bishop Cornish Primary in the final straight after.
This was a very tough game with both teams playing very well.
At the final whistle it was level at 1-1 so it had to be decided on penalties.
3 penalties each then sudden death! 😬

It was very intense but 3 of our brave Hillfort children stepped up, scoring all of our penalties winning it 3-2 and Team H

Thanks to everyone who braved the freezing weather to show up at class tonight.

We bid farewell to Seiichi who returns home to Japan next week , it has been a pleasure having you at the club and we are delighted you will continue your Judo back home !
