Last Friday some of our Running Club children got to take part in an Athletics Festival held at Liskeard School & Community College.
The sun was shining and all the children did really well to compete against 3 other local schools in running, jumping and throwing events.
A big Thankyou to Liskeard School & Community College pupils for running the events so well and ensuring our children had a great time.
It was a lot of fun! 🏃☀️

After previously winning the qualifying event, yesterday afternoon our Year 4 football team represented East Cornwall at the ESFA County Finals against the 5 winning teams from Central and West Cornwall.
We played some excellent football, winning the opening 4 games and only lost out to a single goal in the final minutes of the very last game! 😭
Our young team have been outstanding throughout this competition and were so close to becoming Cornwall champions. Well done 👍👌⚽️

Yesterday our Year 5/6 football team travelled to Saltash to play Burraton Primary School.
It was a very competitive game with some good football on display.
Although we dominated much of the game, it was an early goal for Burraton that sealed it.
We were very unlucky not to get the draw.
A great effort. Well done 👍 ⚽️

Today we had a visit from the fantastic RNLI here at school. 🌊 🏖️ 🛟
We are all so lucky here in beautiful Cornwall to be so close to the coast so it super important that we know how to keep safe while near the sea.
We all enjoyed the visit and have learned some important information.
Also there was a shark spotted wandering the corridors of Hillfort! 🦈 Ask your children if they spotted it too! 👀

Landrake Cross Country 2024 Fun Run 🏃♀️🏃
To finish the cross country season off our brave cross country runners took part in the “fun run” this afternoon.
They all ran a cornish 3 mile course.
It was wet, slippy and extremely muddy!
Hillfort school as always did themselves proud and everyone enjoyed it, it was lovely to have some parents joining in too!

To finish the cross country season off our brave cross country runners took part in the “fun run” this afternoon.
They all ran a cornish 3 mile course.
It was wet, slippy and extremely muddy!
