Massive well done to all our players who competed in the Don Warner memorial championships at the Brentwood centre today. Firstly we are so proud of you all!
Your individual performances were fantastic and your support for each other all day was great. Today we had some first & second time competitors who gained some confidence and experience. Well done to our clubs officials Ben, Paul and Ryan who did excellently today and to Sensei Beth who passed her Senior competition recorder exam 😊

Massive well done to Ben and Sensei Beth who were both selected to represent London area Judo their respected teams last weekend at the prestigious National Teams Championships in Wolverhampton where they helped their senior women’s and cadet/ junior teams make the finals with some nice wins to help their teams. Both finished with silver Medals after tough battles in the finals against The NHC and Scotland. #well down to all who competed, coaches and officiated making this again such an exciting event for all.

Congratulations to Hadley and our head coach Sensei Calvin who both competed in the European Judo Union VI championships held in Swansea in Wales last weekend. This was Hadley’s first experience at this international level, he came up against a Dutch player in the bronze final who he beat earning himself a well deserved Bronze medal 🥉 while Sensei Calvin won Gold 🥇in his group!

Massive well done to our Barking & Dagenham team who competed in the London youth Games last weekend at UEL. We are delighted to have finished in 2nd place in the boys competition as our team suffered from a few drop outs which surly would have made the difference unfortunately but those who attended all fought fantastically with lots of great individual performances as well as having amazing team spirit. Our All Saints Judo Academy took a lion share of the medals won agin for only their 2nd year at this event. Special mention to our Ryan who as well as competing also officiated at the event.

We’re happy to announce our next big training opportunity for all of our members and visitors.
We are hosting a London youth games training day on Thursday 30th May at All Saints Catholic School. This camp be good prep ahead of the event and will bring together our clubs members from across East London including our former 3x consecutive champions from Hackney JC and our current champions from All Saints Judo academy in Barking & Dagenham. Everyone is welcome including beginners so bring a friend along even if not competing at the youth games it’ll be great development and

Good evening all,
We want to say a huge well done and thank you to all clubs and competitors who took part in our development event last weekend. Well done to our clubs referees, officials, parents & volunteers who all pulled together Saturday. It was good to see so many of you either learning new skills such as pool sheets or doing some refereeing, experience you can only get currently from our club’s development pathway for officials and referees. We’re always learning and have a long way to go along our journey to reach our goals as a club but we see so much potential in you and can’t wait

Congratulations to Ben who competed over the weekend at the London area British Schools qualifier at UEL. After dramatic re fights Ben earned himself a silver medal and priority entry to the main event the British School Championships held in Sheffield next March.
