🏆 Highly Commended at this year’s Museums + Heritage - leading sector magazine and events Awards for a project looking at detecting emerald green in 19th Century book bindings using vis-NIR spectroscopy.

📃 University Museums Group: The team recently presented a paper called ‘Temporary to Permanent: Multiple Voices at the Wardlaw Museum’ at the UMG Conference in Reading, presenting findings on the Digital Integration Project funded by Museums Galleries Scotland.

New report finds complexit

Construction of ARU Peterborough’s new £32million Lab building, which incorporates a Living Lab to be used by the community as well as students, has been completed.

The Lab will be ready for ARU Peterborough’s annual community day tomorrow (Saturday, 17 August), where members of the public can explore the new building.

Professor Ross Renton, Principal of ARU Peterborough, said: “We are thrilled to be able to open this innovative new building for the start of the 2024/25 academic year in September".

We're wishing the best of luck to Aerospace Engineering alumni, Oli Wilkes, who is competing in the Men's Rowing Four Final in the Olympics for Great Britain this morning! 👏

Oli began his rowing journey during his time with us in 2014 whilst in his second year. Prior to this, Oli was a swimmer, and pre-university competed in a national championship relay team, this gave him his first insight into elite sport. Whilst studying with us, Oli attended a rowing taster in his first year, and decided to join the team in his second year.

After completing his studies with us, Oli went on to Edinburgh

Trying to figure out the best accommodation option while at university? Is on-campus accommodation the right option for you? 💭 🤔

💰 Cost: On-campus bills are all-inclusive. Outside of this, you'll need to organise your own bills on top of rent, and they won't be capped.

📍 Location: Consider how close your accommodation to things you need, shops or your classes. Remember, staying on-campus will put you in the heart of the university.

🏠 Housemates: Consider what kind of living situation you'd prefer. Are you a first year looking to make new friends? Living on-campus might be a good option.
