Shudan Judo does the Waendel Walk!

What a day! Something off the judo mats: our member's have been out and about the Wellingborough countryside today, taking part in the 43rd International Waendel Walk raising sponsorship money for the club.

The Waendal Walk attracts walkers from all over the world and includes routes of varying lengths, from 5km to 42km.

The Shudan team chose the 10km route.

The weather was great, the company was better, and the tactical placement of an ice-cream van just past the half way point was best of all!

A shout out to Ethan and Tina who've raised almost £300

The experience gained during her Level 3 work placements confirmed to Isobel that becoming a social worker would enable her to fulfil a dream of working with families.

Preferring to commute to university, Isobel applied to 3 local HE providers, and after attending the ARU Peterborough open day, and talking to the course lecturer, Isobel had a clear idea of where she wanted to study.
