COVID 19 / Coronavirus

Due to last night’s advice from the government asking people to avoid all unnecessary contact, Mark and Dave have decided that the Club will close temporarily with immediate effect and shall remain closed until we receive further advice from the government.

Whilst Judo is a sport that helps build strong and healthy people, we have to consider the risk to the wider community of people coming together in close contact. Judo is of course a close contact sport and thus provides that risk we are advised to avoid. Hopefully this will be a short-t

Due to the current situation regarding the coronavirus we have taken Government guidance and will be closing the Judo club at All Saints Church House, Headington until further notice.

Following the new guidelines set out by the government regarding the coronavirus or COVID-19 the club have taken the decision to suspend all sessions until further notice.

The club has a responsibility to its members and the general public to keep them safe.

We will continue to monitor the situation and review the suspension of sessions on a weekly basis. Please keep an eye out for any updates.

JudoScotland Update: Return to Sport Guidance
Friday 9 October 2020

Following the announcement of revised coronavirus guidance by the First Minister on Wednesday 7 October, JudoScotland have been working with our partners at sportscotland and the Scottish Government on the arising implications for sport – and in particular Judo-in-Scotland.
Following endorsement by sportscotland of our updated guidance document last night, we are now in a position to disseminate this to members, member clubs and coaches. To access the latest guidance – which takes effect from 0001 hours on Saturday 10 October

We take hygiene and cleanliness serious at our club. Mats are cleaned before each session and disinfected/steamed every week. Not trying to spread fear, only awareness of the #Coronavirus . This interactive dashboard was developed by Johns Hopkins University and provides dynamic information on the spread and outcomes of the #Coronavirus .

🥋 Clean and cut fingernails & toenails
🥋 Hair tied back
🥋 No metal (hair ties, earrings etc)
🥋 No 👞 on the mat at any time
