15-16.6.24 - Birmingham European Junior Cup.
Congratulations to Luke Davies for earning a gold medal at the Birmingham Cup, winning all contests by ippon. Having been out for a few months due to injury, it’s been really exciting to have him reach 2 finals out of two at his first international events back.
Maddy Birri placed 7th while Peter Davies won his first contest spectacularly but couldn’t convert it into a placing this time. Corey was the 4th member of the team, gaining experience for the events to come.

Ealing Judo Club had a great Saturday! We hosted the EJC Summer Invitation judo competition, attended by 4 local judo clubs. Everyone had a great time, learned a lot and took home a stunning medal.

Well done everyone. Special note for coaches Jo Crowley and Luke Davies for supporting the event by refereeing too. It was a positive experience, good CPD to stand on a different side of the tatami now and again. Thank you to the London Area for the opportunity.
London Youth Games held at uelsportsdock with over 400 competitors. Many World, European, Olympic and TeamGB judoka have fought at this event as a child/teen! 28.12.23 - The final session of 2023 is complete! Thanks to our visitors from King Brothers Judo, Enfield Judo Club and the Mexican national team. Well done to all the little ones who joined in with the dan grades like champs! This was a fun evening but also one full of hard work and team spirit, a fitting way to see out the year.

10 years ago Don Werner passed away at 1:08am 9th January. It is a strange thought that many of the current members of Pinewood didn't meet him. I think and hope he would be pleased to see the flame he lit still burns brightly.
