Next Thursday (15th August), Tom and I (Adam) are looking at making a visit to Saffron Walden Judo Club. Who is up for it?
It is located at the MMA room in Saffron Walden and times are as follows:
- Judo Kids (5 - 7 years old) Thursdays 6:15pm
- Juniors (8 years+) Thursdays 7pm
- Seniors & Advanced Juniors (min age 14 years) Thursdays 8pm.
This is a great opportunity to
1. Keep in touch with your judo through the support,
2. Train with some slightly different personnel whilst also being friendly
3. Support our sister club whilst we are shut (Remember Jeff, who coaches there, help us most wee

This Saturday (6th July) and Tuesday (9th) are the final sessions before the summer break. So let's all turn up to get our summers started with great sessions.

Two brilliant sessions today. We had the seniors looking at action reaction finishing with sacrifice throws and the kids doing Harai Goshi and Koshi Guruma.
Next session is Tuesday (2nd May) 1800-1915 for Juniors and 1930-2100 for Seniors. Come on down and enjoy the fun.
Note we are shut on Saturday 6th May for the coronation.

What a session today! We focused on Osoto gari into forward techniques.
Upcoming dates:
- Saturday (29th June) we are going to run through the grading for the Juniors.
- We are open up to and including 9th July.

We had a brilliant session on Tuesday doing Kata Guruma, Morote Gari and other techniques involving leg grabs. It was nice to revisit techniques we no longer do regularly.
It would be good to see as many of you on the mat on Saturday (Juniors 1230-1400, Senior 13+ 1030-1200) or Tuesday (Senior only 1930-2100)

What a brilliant set of sessions on Tuesday. Both the Juniors and Seniors did some brilliant Nage komi and Randori.
Reminder the club is shut tomorrow (6th May) for the coronation however we return on Tuesday. It will be brilliant to see you all there.

Apologies, sorry for the change of plans, we have to close the club tomorrow 30th May and Saturday 3rd June as the hall is required for a community event.

After our impromptu break for half term, it would be great to see you all on the mat tomorrow (Tuesday 6th). We are on the countdown to gradings at the end of June. So what better chance to get some extra training in.

Unfortunately Tom has hurt his back so we will be postponing the 1st session back. Therefore judo will not be on tomorrow evening.
