Romain started judo age 9 and has many successes along the way, from starting with Surrey Youth Games for Epsom and Ewell to medals at The British schools Champs and training with REDs (Regional England Development Squad).
Romain completed his theory element well then fought in the seniors (men's) section to gain ten maximum score wins to complete the contest element. This is hard going at 16/17 and in the lightest weigh group. He competed against heavier
