Three of our Randori Judo Judoka travelled to Aberdeen to compete in the JudoScotland Granite City Grand Prix Competition today. Massive respect to them for getting out there and testing their skills against others.
Charlie’s first ever Grand Prix and he fought well losing his first contest on a decision, unfortunately no medal today but lots of experience gained.👍

Some of our young Randori Judo Judoka competed today in the JudoScotland Keizoku at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Centre. For most it was their first time competing against Judoka from other Clubs and they all represented Randori well and put in maximum effort on the mat. Well done and keep it up!👍🥋

Massive congratulations to Sajjad Zarrink on completing his theory for 1st Dan black belt in Judo. It has been a great journey over the past 5 years with some challenges along the way. Saj is Randori Judo’s first ever Novice to Black belt and the coaching team are super proud of his achievement.
The first level of black belt in Japanese is called shodan. It literally means "first level" or "beginning step". ‼️⚠️ Tonight’s classes cancelled ⚠️‼️
Due to the fallen tree at the dojo we are unable to hold tonight’s classes for health and safety reasons
We have someone coming to carry out removal of the tree and a safety check of the other trees in the area but this will not be done in time for tonight
We appreciate your understanding and as always our members safety comes first
‼️⚠️ Tree now removed but need to do a check of the roof integrity tomorrow when it’s light ⚠️‼️
Due to the fallen tree at the dojo we are unable to hold tonight’s classes for health and safety reasons

Massive well done to Randori Judoka Sajjad Zarrink who attended a JudoScotland UKCC Level 1 coaching coarse and has subsequently passed his assessment and completed his First Aid, Wellbeing and Protection Coarse’s to becoming a fully qualified coach for Randori Judo at the Randori Dojo!👍❤️🥋

Just a quick message to say
Storm Isha has caused delays, diversions, travel issues, damage to homes and property and there is still a police warning to travel with caution. ⚠️
A further storm - Storm Jocelyn is expected over the next few days.
With this in mind - please only travel if safe to do so.
We currently have a tree down at the dojo front door so will be carrying out a safety check and any impact on classes will be updated to all members asap.
Our members safety is our primary concern.
Called it on Friday but Storm Jocelyn has just been named by Met Éirea
