Team South won a bronze medal at the National teams yesterday! 3 contests for me - 2 Ippon wins and 1 loss by strangle.

This is the last two weekends of disruption. I’m supporting and coaching our players at the Kent International tomorrow and I will be competing/coaching at the National Teams next Saturday and British Masters next Sunday. A couple of busy weekends ahead! Please use this time off to revise your techniques and words for the gradings this month. The links to book the gradings will be available soon.

Wow! What a day at the inaugural Southern Area Development Competition. We had our highest ever turnout of players! For many, it was their first time competing and I couldn’t be prouder of our them for stepping on the mat and having a go.
For others, it was a chance to further their competitive experience but it has been truly wonderful seeing how our young judoka have developed and matured. Additionally, witnessing the camaraderie and support of each other too. Win or lose, our little judo community is growing into something really quite special.

The GB Judo Veterans Squad were in action at the European Championships in Sarajevo last week, with the team coming home with twelve medals.
