Everyone trips or falls occasionally, but our flexibility and reactions decrease as we age. We’re more likely to sustain injuries and lose confidence in living an active life.
In partnership with Cobbs Cafe (#cobbsdunfermline) and Dunfermline Rotary Club (#dunfermlinerotary), we are offering the first 12 participants free access to a new 8-week Safe Falling-Safe Standing pilot project. Based on the Finding Your Feet programme, backed by British and Scottish governing bodies, the content is rooted in safe ukemi practised in every judo club.

Carnegie Judo Club, Dunfermline, is delighted to promote Safe Falling—Safe Standing sessions to participants from tots and parents to those in our schools' programmes to the not-so-young. Recognising that we all fall and the cost to the NHS, particularly as we age, we are keen to promote this aspect of judo to a much wider group of people.
Watch out for our new Safe Falling-Safe Standing Finding Your Feet pilot project based in our Fudog MMA/ Carnegie Judo Club dojo, Halbeath Place, Dunfermline KY11 4JT

We have created this group for Carnegie Judo members and parents/ guardians of young members to keep in touch and share relevant information…..
When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted.

The whole club are immensely proud of Peter's achievements.
A huge inspiration to everyone in the club, the work he and the others put in every Thursday night, staying after normal class perfecting their theoretical knowledge over the past 18 months has been massive.
Peter McCann awarded 3rd Dan 📝
Read our interview with Carnegie Judo Club's Peter McCann, who, despite visual challenges, has achieved his 3rd Dan after 25 years in judo.
🥋 From starting judo for learning self-defence to falling in love with the sport.
🤝 Passing on knowledge to other VI judoka.
