There's just one week to go until our tabletop sale/ car wash next Saturday 20th April!!! 🙌🏻 BB Hall, Thoms Street, 11am to 3pm.

We have an amazing 14 tables booked, so there's still space for at least 2 more if anyone wants a last-minute sales table 👍🏻

I have only received a couple of items for the raffle so far, which is a great start, and I know a couple of folk are taking items on the day, which is great. Ideally, we would love everyone to contribute a peedie raffle prize, so please remember to drop them past my house, anytime! If we're not home, we have a shelf in the porch for you to

Good code for life, not just for judo.

Did you know.....? That judo has a moral code? Written by judo founder, Kanō Jigorō, it is comprised of 8 values: politeness, courage, sincerity, honour, modesty, respect, self-control and friendship. We encourage all these values in our dojo and this is the poster we have on the wall.

Just had the best day, first attending the Neil Adams competition rules course and then following on with a session taken by Neil Adams for the coaching academy group. So many exciting things to show and tell everyone when I get back to the club.

Orkney Judo was delighted to have two judoka from Hummelsbuttel, Hamburg, Germany, visiting. Father and son Dirk and Rayk Moker visited the club after getting in touch.
Dirk is a 3rd Dan black belt, while Rayk is a 1st Kyu (brown belt).
We took the opportunity of asking a few questions before they were invited to lead the adult session this afternoon, and discovered that while Rayk is only 20 years old, he’s been doing Judo for almost 17 years. He got into Judo through having done gymnastics, and Dirk took him to his first session. Rayk attends the Scala club in Hamburg, but at present only
