Valentin Ivanov got a superb bronze in the age 14 to 19 category followed by Paul Cooledge who also got bronze this time in the seniors. Fantastic results, very well done. It's been a very successful weekend for IJC.

We had a fantastic families day at Queech Woodland Activities centre thanks to Neil Speariett. Everyone had a great time having a go at archery, rifle and catapult shooting, knife skills, fire lighting and camp fire cooking. It was truly an awesome day.

While we were having fun Paul Cooledge and Sam Dalby were competing in the Heart of England competition.

Paul came away with two Silver medals!🥈🥈 One in the u23 age group and one in the Senior section. We'll done Paul. Sam started the day well but unfortunately picked up an injury which cu

We ran a technical Judo session on Saturday for Gary and his crew at fortitudebjj. We had a very warm welcome from them and a great time too!

From the feedback we got, their players really enjoyed it. They took away some Judo techniques that link neatly with their bjj techniques.

We'll be planning a reciprocal vist so we can pick their brains for some groundwork techniques.

Calling all 5-7 year olds! We run a judo class for 5-7 year olds on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30. As a result of many of the class moving up to the junior group we now have space for new beginners. So if you have a 5-7 year old that would like to learn a new sport during the summer holidays then please come along. It’s a great way to improve balance, coordination and confidence as well as being fun. Please let us know if you’re coming along so that we know to expect you

To coincide with the start of the new school year, we like to attract a group of new 5-7 year olds to start judo and progress as a group together. Looking forward to welcoming some new members. Obviously we'll take new members of any age, but we'd like to introduce a whole new group of younger ones at the same time. As always, first session is a free taster

🤔Well, what can I say? What an awesome day that was, so thanks is the best place to start.

Thanks to all the players that gave it their all. Thanks to the IJC members that took time to help setup the venue and do the house keeping stuff. Thanks to Eastern Area for their help and the funding for the event. Thanks to the referees and the Senior Examiners for running a pretty slick operation.

Congratulations to all those players who completed their line-ups and all those that gained points.

IJC hope to see you all again for the next one.
