It’s with great sadness and very heavy hearts that we bid farewell to a legend.
Our very own 7th Dan, Club President, Head coach and all round hero, Trevor Davies has sadly lost his 9 month battle with cancer.
He will be so truly missed by us and everyone that knew him.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family.

Earlier this year at our annual presentation evening (celebrating the previous year's achievements) we celebrated Trevor's 65 years in judo.
Trevor started judo at the age of 11, approximately 1 year after Faversham Judo Club was formed, there were several judo clubs in and around Faversham and with his love of the sport Trevor trained at most of them.
In 1972 Trevor took over the running of “Young Judo Club-Ospringe” based in Ospringe school from there he went on to teach in 10 other schools across Kent as well as running two judo clubs in Ashford and then in 1980 starting his own club bac

Day 2 at the kent international. Up first Edward in his first major competion in a long time. In a very tough, large group fought well but was very unlucky to continue after his second fight.
Next Lee in the masters section. Lee lost his first fight after gruelling battle but went on to win the rest of his fights to earn a fantastic silver medal.
Finally luke in the senior men. Luke battled and displayed some excellent judo all the way to the final to unluckily get caught by a very good player to get the silver medal.
Brilliant day!!
A big shout out to the guys from Canterbury Judokwai for

Day 1 at Kent international. All 3 were in very large groups but worked exceptionally hard and demonstrated some great judo.
Tom came away with a bronze medal. Bobby in a group of 16 made his way to the bronze medal fight and was unlucky to miss out on a medal and Leo fought really hard but was unlucky in both his fights but has gained lots of experience.
Well done all of you.
On to Sunday where we have Edward, Dom Luke and Lee.
Good Luck guys
