Well done to Rylee and Neeson at the Nottingham open
Rylee took bronze at -55kg cadets then took a well earned bronze at senior men -60kg and more points toward his black belt won winning 6 or 7 of his 12 contests on the day fought very well may have won a few more on another day!
Neeson had not the best start to his day loosing 3 of his first 5 contests and missing out on medal but more than made up for it at senior men -73kg going on a run of 7 consecutive wins including the fastest contest of the day finishing the match within 3 seconds only to be denied the final on a wrong decision imo

Thank you to R.K.Judo Club for having Rylee and Neeson on the mat last night whilst down south.
Boys had a good technical session then some randori with opportunity to go few rounds toe to toe with current senior u60 British No1. Ben Barkby

I'm sure all the club would like to congratulate Gez on being accepted to RAF Officer training.
Gez has been at the club for a good few years now and has been a brilliant person to be on and around the mat with when not away on operational duty.
Tonight was his last session on camp but unfortunately leaving on Monday so won't be around for when we start back from holidays to say goodbye. And then new posting to RAF Cranwell.
Please keep in touch and let us know when you get those final points for your black belt.
You will always be welcome at the club and hopefully see you in the future.

First night back after the holiday and we had an absolute full mat great session everyone and brilliant to see so many new faces.

Sonny joined the club near end of 2023.
He has worked hard at judo gaining his 5th kyu this this past week and Bronze medal in his first competition at the recent Granite city gran prix. Some excellently fought contests.
This was a very easy decision by coaches Audery and Keith as to who this award should go to this month.
