I would like to talk about Flynn and Theo
Whilst they never made it in to the medal rounds on this occasion they gave absolutely everything on that mat today.
The rules of the competition gave maximum mat time to aid development fighting out the whole time limit of each round.
They fought there hearts out held there own and were extremely unlucky at times. They took the fight to there opponents never gave up and finnished strong. They both showed grit,determination and strength of character even when match was lost to give there very best, True judo sprit on display.

After a brilliant session with our new judokas they all sung out Neeson happy birthday as he is 15 today!!

Great weekend of judo for the club
Gez took gold -100 and 40 points towards his black black belt. Last fight was extremely well deserved after a tough contest but finnished strong
Keirran took Bronze and another 10 points toward his 2nd dan and a absolute belter of a sode.
Wee Riley took to the mat and came away with a bronze for his efforts.
And Neeson and Rylee were at Tulliallan with Scotland squad along with players from English and Belgium teams. #injudowetrust 🥇🥉🥉🥋🥋

Neeson and daneil were in action today not the results they wanted at British schools championships.
Daneil first major big competition tough matches there are no easy ones at this level and got injured too in first match. But showed good determination to get on the mat for next bout.
Neeson had a unfortune start to competition. 50/50 decision went against him. Cracking ashiwaza footsweep to take second match
Injured in 3rd compressing collar bone not broken thankfully.but sore.
And Coach Keith got selfie with Yoko Tanabe absolute Japanese Legend.

Yesterday it was Our MAD Max's turn to take to the mat. First competition south of the border. Lost the first match was unfortunate maybe not to take a win from it. He worked well on the ground.Almost had a couple of strangles on. Good learning curve and experience gained. Knows what to expect for our clubs next trips away. Back to some training preparation for next event. Did your best max can't ask for more, next time will be your day!! #injudowetrust

Some of our younger judoka with coaches Keith and Audrey passed there Grading last night. Some got another stripe on there belt and other received there first belt. They have all put in the work and we are very proud of there effort. We'll done to you all. #injudowetrust #givejudoathrow

Every judo players journey begins with steping onto the mat and for this lot is started at the end of in January.
We run an introduction to judo on a Sunday and from the shy bunch that they mostly were have stuck with it have grown over the past weeks into happy little tigers on the mat. A few wanted a match with our Neeson so he happy obliged 😀
Some have just passed there first Grading either Mon or Kia so as this was our last session we had some fun matches and a little team battle at the end kia v mons.
Kias came away with the victory of the older mons 😉 #injudowetrust
